02 porsche Turbo Correction

I took off my wheels to detail my wheel wells recently, and noticed some rust on the wheel mounting surfaces of my hubs. I believe these surfaces should not be painted, and would like to know how I should treat this rust. Would it be OK to use one of those products that turn rust into an inert black substance?

I recently noticed the same thing on my car when detailing my wheels and wheel wells. There was some rust forming around the bolts that attach my wheel to the rotor. I used some WD40 and a brass wire detailing brush to remove the rust. I then made sure that I sprayed some brake cleaner on the rotors and pads to make sure there wasn't any WD40 residue on the braking surfaces. This did take a little work, but I felt really good about the results.

With marine equipment around salt water, my experience shows that alittle Vaseline will prevent the rust. Considering the hub will be tight against the wheel, a thin layer of Vaseline will hold nicely in there and prevent rust.

2002 Turbo recently completed @ the shop, pre-owned CPO Porsche with a few"issues". Decent amount of marring and the front and rear bumpers had been re-sprayed which meant finishing what body shops always seem to leave behind(shrink, dust nibs, sand scratches).

Not a million pics on this job as I was under the gun on time to complete the job even though it was an exterior job only. Here is the bumper repair to start with the sanding(trizact) being displayed.

The customer said about these scratches(caused by scraping the side of the garage door) "just do the best you can"........

A happy ending for all, door is now "tightness"

The Champion wheels had a polished lip that was dul and pitted, usually these wheels have cleared lips
