'02 Maserati Cambiocorsa coupe detail

1 Clean WS6

Detailing Rottweiler
Hello all!!

You've all seen this car before. It belongs to a monthly regular of mine (I've been detailing it since Spring '03). I haven't posted pics of her in a while so I thought I'd throw some up.

The car is an '02 Maserati Cambiocorsa (paddle shift transmission) coupe. This car is my client's ONLY ride...it's his daily driver! When asked about that he always responds that this car was built to be driven and that was the exact purpose for his buying it. With a touch over 18,000 miles on the odo more power to him I say! Due to the nature of his job he travels abroad quite alot, hence the low miles, but when he is home this car gets driven. :up

Depending on the level of swirling I will either polish then wax or glaze then wax. This month the swirls were pretty numerous so I polished then waxed. Below are pics and a description of the detail.

Enjoy,

Mike

The detail:

Wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo

Polish with Meg's #80 using a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 5.

Seal with Meg's NXT using a Meg's 9006 pad and my PC set at 4.

This is no garage queen!! You have to hear this car when it gets fired up...pure music.

This shot is post-washing pre-polishing. The paint on this car is VERY soft and prone to swirling.

I tried to take shots from the same angle but the passing of time and position of the car made it impossible.

That came out nice. I remember seeing that car when you were

on showcargarage. Nice work :xyxthumbs

Ok that called for an edit cause i posted after i saw the 1st post but now after seeing the 2nd All can say is :bow

Excellent work Mike!!

Looks awesome as usual Mike. Looks like the #80/MXT combo is working really well for you. I now understand why you like being mobile, excuse to drive a lightning all day huh? :D When I get another 03 Cobra, maybe I should get a tow hitch for it......maybe not! Keep up the good work! :xyxthumbs

I'm very impressed that he actually drives the car.

Am I seeing things, or does the speedometer not read below 15 mph?

Thanks all for the kind words! :D

I'm not sure what causes the swirls. I only see the car every 4-5 weeks so there is no telling what happens (or who washes it) in that time? Sometimes there are no swirls and sometimes they look like they do in that pic.

O4cobra I love that truck. ;)

TW85 HHI...well I'll be!! I never noticed that. Maybe the Italian's decided that if you were going under 20km/h that you don't need to know your speed. :nixweiss

Man, that looks amazing but I'm banning you for the lack of pics of Eva Longoria next to it :rofl

Can you say "ZERO orange peel" ? :D

#80 looks as if it cleans up very nicely!!

Man that doesnt even look like paint..it literally looks as if your looking into a mirror.

Beautiful work WS6!

:lol

It is without a doubt the best paint I have worked on.

Wow Mike. That really looks great. I love the reflection of your truck & trailer. That is an awesome car.

Lee & I just watched the Falcons flay the Lambs!

Outstanding.jpg!

Great work, Mike! Glad to see I am not the only one who likes #80/NXT on black! Did a Corvette recently like that but the paint job was no where near as flawless as that Maserati!

I'm jealous, too. I've never detailed a Maserati.
