The owner came to my house as soon as she got this car. She wanted me to look at this and see what I thought:
This stuff was really thick! I still have no idea what it was. I tried hitting it with a LC orange pad and M105. NOTHING! I knew there was gonna be some sanding needed. I spoke to the owner and told her I had no idea what it was and what was under it, but I did a small spot and was able to sand it out and get it back down to the original paint. I told her it would probably be best to just get it repainted. She said to see what I could do and if I'd do the whole car because it was filthy! It stunk of smoke, the carpet was dirty, actually, everything was.
The car got a wash with CG citrus wash, clayed with ONR Lube and blue Clay Magic, 1 step polish with FT and LC orange pad (jumping back and forth between the rotary and the PCXP). Not a full correction, but I worked on the major stuff to try and minimize what I could.
Exterior trim was done with both Megs HD and Megs Trim Dressing. Tires were cleaned with Pakshak TWC. Spare was dressed with Tuf Shine and the other 4 with Black magic titanium wet shine spray.
Interior was done with Pakshak APC to clean and dressed with megs HD. The worst was trying to get the smell of smoke out! I tried bac-out and odorcide. neither worked. The smell just kept coming back. Come to find out, it was in the air vents
The client actually went and bought something called PureAir from Checkers and so far seems to have worked great! Used just like 1Z Klima-Cleaner.
Umm, I hope I covered everything. Im freaking tired from doing this vehicle and her Mini Cooper (thread is coming).
On to the 200 pics
This is what was underneath all that stuff:
I did get most of it cleared up though. Huge difference!
