01 Land Rover Freelander (light gray)

Doing stuff.
Full detail on this one. Started with a wash and clay. Bad swirls and dirty interior.

SSR3 on the hood and doors with the PC

SSR2 on the whole car with PC

Autoglym's Super Resin Polish all around by PC, let dry for an hour.

Poorboy's EX-P sealant all around, let dry for an hour.

Meg's #26 all around

Simple Green + Powerball + Flitz on the wheels. Sealed with EX-P

No Touch on tires and wheel wells.

303, Autoglym Bumper Care, and Meg's #40 on plastic and rubber trim (depending on what needed what).

Simple Green and 303 in engine compartment. Painted areas waxed with NXT paste.

Tried out a few leather products on the interior. Nothing satisfied me. Spent 20 minutes getting dirt and grime out of steering wheel and another 30 minutes getting gunk out of the seats. Very nice leather, I must say.

#40 on interior vinyl and trim. Shampoo on the carpets, 303 on the rubber floor mats.

In summary, this car has way too much plastic trim, and the color is really hard to make great looking. It just won't pop. Owner just got a graphite lexus he wants me to detail, so I think that will make up for it. Anyways, here are the pics:

Nice work.

No more sun after you were done?

It does look quite wet and some shots show nice depth. #26 has never really made paint pop for me, but it has other nice qualities on dark paint. Any reason you chose to use it on silver?

Nice work. I see what you mean though that color just looks very flat. I imagine it would not be possible to make it really amazingly shiney no matter what product was used.

I'm curious . . . what did the note on the steering wheel say?

Nice job, those Freelanders might be small but they aren't that easy to detail.

Interesting choice using #26 over EX-P, seems to have turned out well. :)

Note on steering wheel had directions that the owner used to get somewhere. No relevance. Chose to use #26 because I tried S100 and NXT and both didn't make it seem any wetter. So I went for the warm glow look, came out nice.
