1 Clean WS6
Detailing Rottweiler
Hello all!!
This car belongs to a good friend of mine. He brought it over this morning for us to do some "work" on as I waited for the 4:15 kickoff of my New York Football Giants (as they get their arse handed to them by the Eagles 31-10 in the 3rd :angry ). It is #19 of the GMMG BlackBird build. Please check out www.gmmginc.net for specific details about the BlackBird Trans Am's. This particular beast has a heads/cam package with 435 rwhp and 410 rwtrq. He would smoke 1 Clean WS6 in the 1320...but I won't ever tell him that!!!
The car is a one owner and has a tad over 13K on the odometer. It is garaged and very well cared for. The TA has never had a good polish session on it so that is what we did today. Both he and I had our PC's humming at the same time. If you have never worked on a car with someone else while using a PC I HIGHLY suggest doing so. Not only is it fun but the sound of two 7424's going at the same time is music to this Autopian's ears!! Below are pics and my description of the detail.
Wash with Meg's NXT shampoo
Polish with Meg's #83 DACP with our PC's set at 5 using Meg's 8006 pads. The car had a moderate amount of swirling that this combo got to within 90%. Made a ton of dust but did the job we expected.
Polish with Meg's #80 Speed Glaze with our PC's set at 5 using Meg's 8006 pads. This combo knocked out the remaining swirls and left a very wet gloss to the paint. This product is MUCH easier to work with than #83 even if it is not as strong. Breaks down fast with very little dust.
Seal with Pinnacle's Liquid Souveran by hand with foam applicators. This was my first experience with this product and I was VERY impressed. It smells exactly like what it is...Souveran with solvents in it! It applies just as easy as the paste...removes just as easy as the paste and has about 7/10th's the look of the paste....for a fraction of the price. I'll be using this product a lot more in the future.
Enjoy,
Mike
P.S. G-men......6-10 this season....F.
