1 Clean WS6
Detailing Rottweiler
Hello all!!
Well...I guess I should change my screen name to "spoiled" because I got to detail yet another gorgeous Mustang at my home!! :up
The car is an 01 Cobra with about 32K on the odo. It has a bunch of bolt-on mods including one SWEET sounding exhaust system. The car is garaged 90% of the time and as such the paint was in great shape...just some moderate swirls. The interior was immaculate. Below is my description of the detail.
Enjoy,
Mike
Wash with Meg's NXT shampoo
Clay with Mother's Clay Bar using Meg's #34 as a lube. Judging by the condition of the bar after the application (very distinct "brown" tint) the car had never been clayed.
Polish with Meg's #80 Speed Glaze with a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 6. This combo did an excellent job of removing the swirling.
Polish with Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba with a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 5. The look of this product is a very similar to the Poorboy's Pro Polish (the PwC is a tad bit deeper looking) but they could not be more polar opposites in application/removal. The PwC applies super easy and unlike the Pro Polish comes off as easy as EX. The look is super wet and the surface is nice and slick after application.
Seal with Poorboy's EX-P by hand with a slightly damp foam applicator. I let the EX-P set on the paint about 60 minutes before I removed it. The look is stunningly wet and glossy...I really like this stuff. :up :up
Top with P21S by hand with a foam applicator. Since I had the vehicle overnight I was able to apply this carnauba about 10 hours after the EX-P was applied. It really took the gloss of the EX-P to the next level IMHO.
The rims have Meg's #20, tires have Meg's Endurance High Gloss, trim has Meg's Natural Shine and the exterior glass has ClearKote's VM.
