1 Clean WS6
Detailing Rottweiler
Hey all!!!
I love cleaning fast cars!!
Makes "owning" them during the detail that much easier for me.
This client was actually a referral to me. He is the brother of the owner of that black '03 Ford Cobra convertible that I recently detailed. Both are super nice guys with a taste for boosted American iron...my kind of people!! :up
The car is a 2000 model C5 Vette with about 56K on the odometer. The current owner bought it with about 53K on it two years ago. He purchased it from an auto broker in Texas that said the car was a lease vehicle...so I am not sure how many owners it has had. Overall it was in great shape with minimal swirling but man oh man did it need to be clayed. My yellow Mother's clay bar would turn black after each panel!! After the clay I saw a noticeable improvement in the gloss of the paint and began my polishing process. Below are pics and a description of the detail. These photo's were taken at about 5:30pm e.s.t. right after I finished....the days are getting shorter and shorter!!
Enjoy,
Mike
The detail:
Wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo.
Clay with Mother's clay bar using Meg's #34 as a lube.
Polish with Meg's #80 using a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 5.
Polish/Glaze with Wolfgang's Pre-Wax Polish Enhancer using a Meg's 9006 pad and my PC set at 4.
Seal with Wolfgang's Deep Gloss Paint Sealant by hand with a foam applicator. I let the Wolfgang set on the paint for about 30 minutes before removal.
Meg's #20 on the rims, Meg's Hot Shine on the tires and ClearKote's VM on the exterior glass.
