TW Ice buffing towels at Pep Boys

From what the guy at Pep Boys told me, TW was just doing the ice towels as a promo and they weren't selling, so they went on sale for 5 dollars for the two towel pack. I know TW has a bad rep, but I think these are the nicest towels I've ever used - better than Viking, CG, Cobra, or autospa (I...

    Migliore?

Is this brand any good? I've never heard of them until someone brought them up on another thread, and I didn't want to digress there, so I think this should have it's own thread. I went to their website and was surprised to see that they don't even make a car wash, so I guess I would try their...

    Any CG codes?

I don't have twitter, so I'm wondering if the CG have any new coupon codes out again? I know I probably sound cheap, but I hate buying something and then a day later I find out I could have saved money.

    CG 5050 or P21s 100%

If you were going to get a wax, would you go with Chemical Guys 5050, or the 100% pure wax from P21S? I'm not sure if there would be durability issues when the wax has no sort of binders or polymers or whatever they're called. But I've at least seen it mentioned sometimes here. On the other...

    LC sucks, need recommendations

I know I'm new at polishing, but at this point I am convinced it's the pads and not me. Even with priming, giving them breaks, cleaning them with DP pad cleaner, they soften up which defeats the purpose of having orange pads. And then they lose control, where instead of spinning they freeze...

    Foamed wool pads

I tried using the foamed wool pad I got for the first time yesterday, and had some problems with it. I'm wondering where I went wrong: I primed it with CG primer, and tried using 105 with it. The nap on on it completely flattened, as if it was glued down to the base of the pad. Then, tons of...

    Tire gloss question

I'm wondering when you apply a tire protectant/gloss type of thing, do you put it on the entire tire, or just the side that faces out? I tried just the side that faces out because that's less of a PITA, but you can see how bad the rest of it looks. So does anybody here apply the product to the...

    Auto Detailing Solutions

Does anybody know if there are coupon codes for Auto Detailing Solutions? I want to order some stuff from there.

    How much dust is normal?

I thought of yet another question regarding my polishing experience. I cannot even put into words how much dust I had from my Menzerna IP and FPII. Most of it is a blur and I don't know which created more dust than the other, but overall, there was a TON. I mean, it was everywhere, including...

    Chem guys blue microfiber

Has anybody used Chemical Guys blue microfiber towels? They're on sale right now and I've been eyeing them. They aren't mentioned in the review section, so I figured I'd ask here.

    Where did I go wrong

I finally had good enough weather to start polishing with my PC for the first time. I think I screwed just about everything up though. First of all, one of my orange pads exploded. It started to look like it was inflating or something when it was on the car (speed 6) and I freaked out and...

    Lighting issues

I've been having trouble getting the right lighting to see my swirl marks. I bought a hallogen spotlight from a brand called Rally which was so defective that it couldn't hold any charge, much less be used. I took that back in a heartbeat and I'll never buy anything from that brand again...

    My orders are placed:

I'd like to thank everybody for their patience, since I have been asking a lot of questions and splitting hairs endlessly. Today, I have placed all of my orders and hope to have some great weather once I receive them. Here's what I got: Porter cableXP UDM and some tire gel applicators with...

    Is the XP worth it?

Now I'm choosing between the porter cable 7424 and the 7424xp. With the new coupon code out there, I can get the 7424 for 80 dollars. That's really cheap and I am eager to place my order. I could go with the XP, but that costs more, and I am wondering if it's really worth it. Remember, I...

    Menzerna vs. Wolfgang

I've been reading up on polishes now, and have made a last minute change in judgment since I was thinking about pinnacle's polish, and now I'm thinking about Menzerna. I've read great things about Menzerna, but I do not need huge bottles and it's expensive to boot. On Autogeek's website, they...

Several questions from a first timer

Ok - several months ago, I clayed, polished, and used sealant on my car for the first time. Since there's a million threads, you probably wouldn't remember the pictures I posted of my champagne Nissan Altima. The polish I used was Ultima's, which is non-abrasive. Obviously, that only...

    My first detail

Ok - here's the 'Michael Jacksonmobile' - after detailing it, the color is paler than before and there's no better way to describe it. It hasn't been sunny the whole time since I finished, so there are some cloudy day shots and night shots. I welcome any feedback people have regarding why my...

    Need a glass polish

Unfortunatly, it's been raining a lot, and who knows what else has happened to my windows. My side mirrors are horrible. My windshield has weird drip marks, too. Nothing has helped so far. I've used SC clearly better, and a no-name brand foam that is really strong. I think it's time to get...

    Foam applicators?

Isn't foam the same as sponge? Wouldn't it scratch? I have foam applicators that have come with carnuba wax, polish, and I have a sealant that says to apply with a foam applicator...is that really ok?

    Oarnge peel textured paint

In the sun my car looks pretty much OK except you can tell by the reflections in it that there is an oarnge peel texture to the paint. Is this normal? It's a nissan altima. If it's not normal, would it be realistic to take care of it without a machine?
