I read alot of polishing threads but to date :what is your first step polish and pad you would go to when severe paint correction is needed?

Can anyone tell me if it is necesary to clay a vehichle when you are going to be polishing it with an aggressive pad and polish anyway? I know it does not take much time but I dont know if it is necesary under such circumstances..any advice?

I would like to know if the UDM has less vibration than the PC 7424? As some know I am in a wheelchair with one good arm and I can work the PC pretty good but if the UDM has less vibration when polishing that would help me alot, and is the UDM any larger in circumference than the PC? thanks
