I struggle to see how Z6 and Z8 can really co-exist. Sure its not 'meant' to replace Z6...but doesn't Z8 do everything Z6 does AS WELL as adding protection and even more gloss?!? As autopian's...don't we want the BEST and EASIEST results? To me, it appears to be simply a matter of cost...

Does it make sense to clay and then polish? or is clay not really needed since your going to polish (abrasive) away the surface anyway? What about a non/mild abrasive like AIO?

How long should I wait before the first detail of a brand new car? Partner has delivery of a mazda3 -- Build Date Jan 2005, so I presume it has been painted only a few weeks ago. It has clearcoat. Is the paint safe to clay? what about a paint cleaner or wax?

call me strange - but I have always liked that new car smell you get in the first 1-3 months you get a brand new car from the manufacturer. I think it comes from the glues on the dash? or just the cleaning agent they use? what is it? Is there any way to get it back after it is gone?
