Mother's drying towel vs. Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy

not even close, MFM DMC. the Mother's towel has been my go-to for a while now, probably a few years. i stumbled onto MFM while trying to find a robust microfiber wash mitt that wasn't a piece of crap. unfortunately, while there were some dealers in the UK that were sourcing them from Germany...

Buff & Shine pads - help with selection

I am going to make the switch from LC to B&S but it's slightly confusing for a few reasons. They have different colors for the 4" vs. the 5.5". I looked at their chart and a rough cross is the 4" are in their "US" foam and the 5.5" are "euro"...but not exactly. I am reading online that...

    a "LASERRR"

OCMD figured it out this year, and banned the damn things. now hopefully OCNJ will follow suit- Ocean City Police Issue Laser Pointer Warning - Cape May County Herald funny how nobody initially realized that it might be a bad idea to let merchants sell kids laser pointers in an...

follow up wet sanding with foam and optimum compound?

can i substitute wool and the typical m105 choice for yellow foam and optimum regular compound? i know i'd have to check my work alot more frequently, but i've had such success NOT using wool, esp for spot defects that i feel as if 2500 scratches could easily be removed w/ foam.

    two questions about paint

    1. is orange peel typically in the base, or the clear? i mean factory as well as aftermarket work, and i mean high portions of the car, not necessarily chip guard type application down low on panels. 2. how much thicker is paint application vs. late model factory? i know, for instance, my new...

new (to me) approach to chip repair

on my 97 honda (which i had for almost 10 years), if i needed to repair a chip it was pretty easy. i'd fill the chip with custom mixed base (from a local body shop) stored in model paint jars. using a fine model brush (0/18 i believe), this was easy. i'd then top it with duplicolor clear using...

    drivewire.com are SCAMMERS!

i talked to eibach about a spacer set in the beginning of january. they said they have been out of stock of it and will be until the summer, but it could possibly be discontinued. they told me that the last potential customer of theirs that might have that certain wheel spacer set in stock would...

Cyclo pads useable with rotary and PC?

they certainly look like the low pro LC 4" pads. unfortunately, AG doesn't sell any low pro small pads other than the orange LC units. the cyclo pads, though a different color coding and white velcro, look to be a value compared to some of the other sites out there that DO sell low pro pads...

    Eagle One Nanowash surfactant quality...aggressive?

this is my first thread here, but i'm not a detailing n00b... i am an avid optimum user and enjoy detailing performance cars and exotics. anyway, back on topic- ph is one factor that i look at for these car wash shampoos. i know eagle one was ph balanced when in solution with water...
