Florida sand & Jetta interior = Bad combination

I have a new found respect for all Detailers that have to deal with ground in sand on a daily basis. :bow Being from Indiana, all I ever deal with is clay mud, road salt and tar. The only sand I see is from the Spring Break vehicles. I have always been able to handle this small amount. I...

    Animated smiles

Please forgive me, but I have to ask this. I never noticed the animated smiles before. Is this a new feature or did I just contract the Poorboy Virus? I was finally able to get away from dial-up and recieved a low grade - DSL connection this week.:excited: Maybe this is all it took...

    No Detailing Today!

No detailing in this area today! There is roughly 6 inches of snow on the ground already here in Indiana with 20 to 40 mph winds. There is a 2ft + drift in front of my shop doors as I type. Forecast is for an additional 8 to 12 inches by this evening with white-out conditons and major...

    Vehicle Inspection & Estimate Sheet

Being only a part time - weekend warrior; I sometimes have trouble correctly evaluating the actual condition of a customers vehicle. The vehicles that I usually detail are neglected, and 3-5 years old. My inital inspection is not as thorough as it should be. Especially, when the customer...

    DurrMaid Spotter/Extractor problem

This question is for DurrMaid Spotter/Extractor owners. Has anyone experienced pump problems with their unit? If so, where did you find a replacement part? Mine is leaking water to the point of rendering it useless. I have searched extensively online and have looked locally...

    Meg's Glass Cleaner MIA?

I have been using NXT Glass Cleaner exclusively for some time. I am having trouble finding it locally now. Seems like all the usual places have drastically cut back their Meg's line and some of the salepeople I have spoken with have never heard of it. Has anyone else had the same trouble...

Advice needed on Xtra Large Van

I received a call today asking for an estimate for a complete detail on a 1994 - ¾ ton extended length and raised roof, Dodge van. It is the community service shuttle van for the area. The customer was really wanting a price over the phone due to the fact that all expenses for the van...

    My girlfriend dumped me!

My girlfriend and I were highschool sweethearts. Everyone naturally figured we would get married after we graduated from college. My girlfried was accepted to Ball State while I stayed home and attended our local junior college. We agreed to be faithful to each other and spend anytime we could...

How do you dry interiors after a shampoo?

I currently use an extractor on a full interior shampoo. Sometimes, I follow up with my shop vac (filter removed) to help remove excess moisture from the "extra dirty" jobs. I realize the less water that is introduced into the interior the better, but sometimes it can't be helped. I do use an...

    1st post...latest detail

This is my 1st attempt to start a thread. I have attached a pic of my latest detail. Park Avenue had never been waxed and only hand washed on occasion, mostly auto car washes. Paint was in the condition you would expect. Used HT-69 Paint Perfection Glaze followed by Meguiars Yellow 26 on top.
