This started happening this winter and I try to keep the car as clean as possible (use Zaino stuff after every wash). I'm not sure if the rust around the actual centre rust spot is surface rust. How can I remove this myself (if possible) and stop it from rusting? Thanks

I had ordered 3M's SMR but the rep didn't ask me if I wanted the light or dark one. I have a silver car. Now I read on an earlier thread that it doesn't matter which one you use. The dark smr uses fillers and if that is used on light colored cars then all you need to do is wash it afterwards...
