    Thanks to Autopia Paul

Had second thoughts on one product that I had ordered via the first "Green20" sale. Emailed customerservice@autopia-carcare.com and received an immediate response from Paul. Decided on a replacement that was $10.00 more expensive and asked how to pay for the difference. Paul's response: Hello...

    Strange Paint "Defects"

I'm buffing out a 2012 Yellow Challenger that has moderate water stains and the usual swirls light scratches, with M100, a Rupes clone and Lake Country HD Orbital Blue Foam pads. I noticed on the vertical panels (fenders/doors)after buffing, very small, guessing 1/64 -1/32 - I can only call them...

    Sander Recommendations ?

Need to do some extensive but light sanding on a Lincoln MKX. Any recommendations for AFFORDABLE sanders? I'm thinking, as an example, this Shop DEWALT Palm Sander at Lowes.com or this Shop DEWALT 3-Amp Orbital Sander at Lowes.com

    Use SEM on Vyinyl Graphics?

I have a 2012 Dodge Hennessey Challenger Yellowjacket with flat black graphics coming in soon and there are just a few 'chips' in the graphics; two black bars running down each side of the hood. I had a similar situation on a Mini Cooper where I used either SEM or a similar product (available...

    PREVENTING water spots/staining - possible.

So I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that the various coatings on the market provide certain benefits such as Resistance to bug splatter, etc. - a really high gloss can be achieved as well as, IMHO, should be applied after serious paint correction. But come to hear that water spots are...

REVIEW - HD Nitro-Seal (Holiday Giveaway)

Who'da thunk a Hyundai could be considered a luxury car. But This AWD, Pamploma Red Genesis sure gave me the impression of being one. But a bit of the back story before I move on to HD Nitro. This particular car was purchased from a Colorado dealership site unseen, picked up at nite and driven...

My Quick Take on the Chupes (Chinese Rupes Clone)

Following up on this thread : http://www.autopia.org/forums/car-detailing-product-discussion/179164-optimum-da.html I fired up what I believe to be Ansi Auto's version to tackle this trashed 3 Series: The rest of the car is worse ! My go-to 'sanding discs' for paint in this condition is ...

    Rupes pad recommendations

Thinking Santa may leave the 21mm in my stocking. From what I've read, the long throw really chews up foam pads. Wondering if this is true for say Megs MF pads. Also, does anyone have any experience with the new Lake Country orbital pads?

And if I don't IPA the Polish ?

So I'm working on a re-painted 1970 442. I used M105 w/wool and now I'm polishing w/ M205 and a B&S Blue on a Flex 3401. The 442 has some issues - a few paint cracks, road rash, but overall it's in great shape. It's going to a car show so I had planned on using 3M hand glaze. Then the...

    Masking tape residue on rubber

It seems no matter if I'm using 3m blue or 3m Scotch green masking tape on certain types of rubber mostly textured the tape leaves residue a tape line that's impossible to remove. Does anyone know how to avoid this or short of having to redye?

Pad recommendations for Single Stage 87 Carrera?

After oiling up this Guards Red Porsche (it's the poster child for oxidation), I'm thinking I can stay with M205 for most of the correcting - although D300 would make quick work of the RIDS and swirls. But I'm hoping for suggestions for pads. My arsenal is mainly B&S and a mixture of MF...

What caused these 'Fish Eyes' ?

2014 Ford Raptor. Have to say the hardest paint I've ever worked with. Even scuff marks wouldn't M105 out. Had to sand. Scratched and scuffed everywhere! Came in looking like this but worse:

2006 BMW Z4 on a budget = What to Use?

It's an Imola Red convertible thats swirled and scratched (nothing you can catch your finger nail on).   The customer just bought this used with less than 30K on the clock. Put a bunch of money in tires, etc. and can't afford anything more than one buff cycle and wax.   What I have on...
