i was checking out my friends hood, it's a yellow Nissan NX. the hood was replaced though, and near the bottom you can see a line where a car bra must have been. above that line is very dull yellow paint, below the line is better paint. is this oxidation? or just paint damaged beyond belief...

i spent an hour on the front passenger side carpet alone. ugh. some of the trucks are immaculate save abit of dirt. some have grease rubbed into the seats and god knows what else. ugh.

got my first "real" customer today! my co-worker's husband is district manager for a tire/maintenance company here, he needs 20 vehicles washed, $15 bucks a pop. not huge money, but this could get me some leads, and it'll be easy work, just wash and wipedown the interior.

currently using DACP and #9 for all my prep work. I also have AIO but i'm using that sparingly. thinking of picking up some power cleaner (step above DACP) what are you guys using for prep work?

doing a full detail, do you guys strive to totally take out any imperfections like swirls? or do you just do 1-2 passes with something like DACP and then problem area treat as needed? just wondering because polishing my own and my family's cars it's very time consuming even with a PC to go over...

how much product would you guys use for a hood? I just got my PC so i've been experimenting with it, I work the DACP in until ther'es pretty much no residue on the panel, however i'm not seeing the "powdery" result from the broken down abrasives, perhaps i'm using too much product or not letting...

just wondering what you guys do in order to get door scuffs out, also some of the vinyl has been scratched from past usage of a bad brush I think. a woolite solution does nothing for it, nor does scrubbing with an MF.

I found that if I apply too much lube, then the clay won't pick pu much at all, i find if i jus tapply a light mist it will "stick" better. what about you guys? btw i was kinda pissed to pay 20 bucks CDN for my megs clay kit and see it only came with 100gs of clay. so small :( :(

canadian customers ONLY! ordered a PC, backing pad kit, pads, AIO, lexol, 303 from them. order was confirmed on friday april 16th and I got it today tuesday april 20th(burnaby BC to Edmonton AB). :up to them. great service and they even threw in two MF towels. (altho my order WAS 370ish)...

when you're drying, do you notice dirt residue on the towel/MF? while the washmitt takes away most of the dirt, i still get some dirt accumulation on my towel.

I used some Simple Green Crystal (one capful into about 25oz.) on some grease/sticky stuff on the side of my dad's car. eventually rubbed off, but should I NOT have done this?

tried it out, 2 bucket system, 1 washmitt, and a shammie to dry. a) great stuff, got the car clean didn't really notice any new swirls, and if there were it was the fault of the user and not the system. b) washmitts are awesome, tried out a sheepskin, previously i'd been using terry towels...
