does wax / polish need time to set / dry after you finish the car so i sent the full day on the car 2 step hs cut/foam then finished by hand so should i keep it in the garage for a day or two so the wax can harden or dry???????

so i bought a foam gun and poor boys super slick and suds it foams but not like in the videos i have seen so my question is what soap foams the best with a foam gun i am talking about turn my my car white with foam any suggestion
