When applying KSG, do I have to use SAS or another such product to dampen the bonnet of UDM? Can't I just use a general detailing spray or even water to dampen the bonnet?

I just ordered the UDM alongg with KAIO & KSG. The Perfect Shine aricle asays to moisten the bonnet with some SAS or SAGS before applying KSG. Can't I just moisten the bonnet with water or any general detailing spray?
