The Ridgid Pro Pack ($89.95 from Home Depot) is PERFECT for mobile detailers like myself. It matches the HP of my old unit (5 hp), but look at the space savings:

fresh off the truck. I need to do it as quickly and cheaply as possible. What's the VERY quickest and cheapest way to get a layer of wax on these vehicles? I need a wax that is easy on and easy off, and have a Cyclo with microfiber bonnets if that's the quickest way to remove the wax.
A customer is wanting adhesive-backed plastic applied to carpets on used cars in inventory. They say "do not remove except by dealer" and look like this:

Detail Plus (http://www.detailplus.com) sells pet hair sponges that are very effective at dragging pet hair out of the depths of upholstery and carpet. I used to double up with my latex gloves and use my hands, but this method was much more efficient.

I have a un-labeled, no brand extractor with 2 heaters and strong suction. It blows 15 amp fuses in my customers' breaker boxes. 20 amp outlets are fine when they have them, but they are rare.

I'd like to use an extractor, but worry that there will be water staining.
Haven't done one of these yet, but it will come up eventually. A detailer friend of mine tells it goes as follows:
1. Wash car.
2. Cover front windshield with towels (acid etches windshields).
3. Wet down car with water.
4. Spray acid wheel cleaner (mixed one part acid to one part...
I've had problems with compound/polish getting in jambs, hinges, cracks, and seals. But when I use masking tape to cover these problem areas, there is an obvious border left behind where the tape was.
Does anybody have a solution?
1. Thoroughly vacuum carpet surfaces.
2. Spray CarBrite Shampoo HD throughout; particularly heavy in areas with concentrated stains.
3. Let sit for 5 minutes.
4. Attach shampoo brushes to Cyclo polisher and brush all reachable areas into a foam; use hand brush on hard-to-reach areas.
