    Help!!! I Need Helpp!!!!

:angry :wall :( I made a mistake. I am going to Chicago and was searching on Priceline. I have never used them before. Long story short, I clicked on an area that I didn't want, put in a price. When I came in this morning, they said "congrats! Someone has taken your offer! THE HORROR! IT'S AT...

Review: Poorboys Super Slick N Suds

I bought the carwash soap awhile back, chomping at the bit for when I could use it. Unfortunately, I can't get on the bandwagon with this product. It comes in the standard Poorboys packaging and it smells pleasant. I follow the directions and put it in the bucket and add water. The suds...

Yet another use for Poorboys APC

So my wife was working late the other day. I was playing with my 3 year old daughter on our NEW microfiber couch. She was playing with some Silly Putty, and, you guessed it...It got on the couch. I didn't see it immediately, but Hawkeye did! man, she let me have it! I said don't worry, I'll get...

I'm detailing a Green Metallic 2000 Toyota Forerunner this weekend. What would you top with, P21S or Trade Secret and why? I plan on topping after using the AIO/UPP combo. Thanks for you help and input.

Does this happen to anyone else?

It seems that everytime that I go on the DC website, a couple of things happen: First, I feel like detailing a car, next I feel like buying some products. Is it just me or does this happen to anyone else. I should have logged on yesterday. I was going to do some heavy duty compounding on my...

    Detail King

I was bored at work (as usual) and was surfing around and came up on this website (detail king). I was wondering if any of you pro's have ever used their stuff? Are they awfully cheap or just awful? The sponsors here are awesome and so are their products. But they are just so darn expensive if...

Cyclo vs. PC. Which is more aggressive

Well, which is it? It seems that everybody says use the cyclo if you want to be a little more "aggressive". But it is a fixed speed at 3,600 OPM versus the variable speed of the PC which as we all know, will run up to 6,000OPM. My thinking was that you could get more accomplished at 6,000 OPM...

Why Do I Have To Log In Everytime?

It seems that I have to log in and re-log everytime I go to Detail City even though I have asked it to remember my log in info. Just trying to report another glitch among the others. Yes, I get the "sorry no matches found" when I click on the New Posts Icon. I also can't view pictures. It is...

    Menzerna: Pc, Cyclo, Or Rotary

Can you use a PC or Cyclo with Menzerna or is it strictly for use with a rotary? It seems that most products mentioned on this site are PC/Cyclo friendly, but you need to work it longer or make multiple passes. I have all 3, so it doesn't really matter to me. Just wanted to know how everyone...

So How do you do IT?

What do you use when you apply products? A creeper? Knee pads? I personally use knee pads, but I am very tempted to get some sort of creeper. I don't know. The knee pads work very well, but I sometimes get very painful cramps later in the evening. Curious to hear from all of you about how you do IT.

What is an equal to AIO

What other products are like AIO? Don't get me wrong, I love AIO and then topping it with UPP or SG, but is there other products that are like AIO?

    Exquisite cars

Anybody detail Rolls Royces or Bentley's on a regular basis? I am currently trying to break into a segment here that features a number of RR's and Bentley's. It seems that what I have heard about them is that they have a tremendous amount of fine wood and or finish. Special notes or precautions?

    Paint question

I will be detailing some cars for my uncle. He usually buys older cars, drives them awhile, then sells them. Most of these cars are 60's or early 70's, which I am guessing is single stage paint. Is there anything I need to take precautions with? Any products that shouldn't be used on single...

    Swirl question

A couple of weeks ago, I did my Passat. It had a lot of swirls on the hood that I think was caused by a bad detailing job before I took possesion of the car. So I decided to try and get rid of them. I used Hi temp Heavy cut with an Orange pad at 5 then bumped it up to 6. I then used Hi Temp...

    Check This Out!! Great Deal!!

To all, Even though they are not one of our sponsors, Top of the line is selling the Cyclo Orbital for only $199.00 until December 31st. That is an incredible price! I hope that I'm not breaking the rules here, but if you want to buy one, and it was too costly, this is a great deal. That's $100...

SHOP VAC vs HOT WATER EXTRACTOR?

Does anyone out there (I'm sure there are) have both a shop vac AND a hot water carpet extractor? I have a nice shop wet/dry vac(RIGID 6.0hp 14 gal. I think), but, if I had the means, would it be advisable to have both? I am somewhat of a toy guy, I like to have tools, and I always buy the best...

    Wow!!what A Finish!!!

Well, I just got done digging out of about 8" of snow that Mother Nature dumped on us here in Denver. But before she dumped it, (starting Sunday), i was able to break out the new PC and the AIO and 4* combo that I bought recently. I had been reading reviews and was somewhat skeptical of "getting...

How do you wash the top of Vans?

Okay, I'm new to this. my brother has about 9 service Vans in his company. Do I just climb up on top and start working? Do you lay down a towel or anything? This goes for tall vehicles of any type. It is the one thing that I've always wondered. I'm not the most mobile guy due to my back injury...

What do you think about this?

I am constantly trying to build up my supplies with quality products. The other day, I was in Wal Mart and saw a California Water Blade. It makes sense about how it would work, but does it really work that well? I don't want to spend $20 on something worthless (although I have done just that...
