Maybe my first RV - some questions

'07 Itasca Sunova (28ft.?) Exterior only. Haven't seen it yet, but he says it's been maintained and is not trashed. It'd be a wash and 'wax'. I saw a thread where Barry(?) used Megs D151, which I have on the shelf. Good to go with or with something like ProtectAll I've seen quotes by the foot...

    1973 BMW 2002 Leather

Quick Ques. Although I've been reading about coated/uncoated etc. I spot checked part of the drivers seat with 3D LVP and it appears that the color (black) is coming off on the MF towel. Even using 3D leather conditioner, the same thing; the color is transferring to the MF. What to do/use...

Which Paint sealant for a first timer

I'll be doing a paint correction on a red Jetta wagon this week and it's a good candidate for a sealer. Having never used anything but Rejex, I'm wondering what would be recommended for a n00b? Opti-Coat, CQuartz, or ... I'm guessing none of the sealers are idiot proof.

    Daytona Speed brush alternative

Well I heard they break and the smaller of the two I have just did. I like the fact that it's flexible, but honestly, it didn't have that much use. Any recommendations for alternatives?

    After paint correction - opti-seal or opti-coat + other ?'s

So I'm going to be faced with another black BMW. This one is a brand new 5 series w/swirls - no scratches. Customer came by to show me the car and I took an extremely soft MF towel and rubbed a 3 inch section of the hood and it marred. First question is, so with a soft paint like this, how...

    Griots is the BEST

Purchased the 25ft. cord version thru Amazon. As I placed the DA back on to the top of my cart, my 'evil twin brother' wasn't paying attention and it hit the floor. Just called Griot's about a repair and they will REPLACE it free of charge upon receipt. I've never received such great...

    Collinite 845 ove D301

To make a long story short, I buffed out this Black '03 M3 and it mars if you just look at it. D301 on a MF pad, eliminated the marring. But now I'd like to give the car some protection and if I wipe it down with IPA it's going to mar again. So I' thought I'd top it with 845. Can I apply 845...

Do you ever leave scratches on a 3 stage?

So this '03 M3 is my first 'paint correction' job and is/was totally swirled and scratched. The major scratches I sanded. I'm Just about done using a 3401 with M105 and an LC Cyan Hydrotech. I plan on following up with M205 then maybe MENZ-PO87M; then a wax. Swirls and minor scratches are...

    Flex 3401 failing/failed?

Cross posted to another forum 'cause I'm panicked: So I have a few of the LC Hydro Cyan/Tangerine pads and thought I'd try them out on the '03 M3 (man, it seems this paint is HARD). I have the LC adapter 'system' and when I attached the 5+ inch backing plate, I noticed there was some...

    Water spots!

OK - one more ? about this '03 M3 I'm about to tackle. The customer had it trucked out to NM from Fla. Before bringing it to me he 'hosed it down' at a local do it yourself. The below is how I got it. These water spots will not come out with clay, vinegar, swirlx, etc. I worked some with...

How to pour from Gallon Jugs?

So I've got some M205, etc. in gallons. Tried using funnels to pour into the plastic 'mustard/ketchup' bottles (pouring from the jug itself results in the air bubbles splattering the product and missing the mouth :() The funnels end up with alot of product stuck to the sides and even using a...
