    Makita and thermal shutdown?

I was just reading more about rotaries and came up on this topic about thermal shutdown. Apparently metabo rotaries experience thermal shutdown a little bit more often than other rotaries on softer clearcoats/soft paint depending on the pad and speed. I would assume that this would be a safe...

    Backing plate issue for Rotaries

Hey there all I was on autogeek looking at pad selection and noticed that they prefer to use a 4 3/4inch yellow hook and loop backing plate for 6-6.5inch LC pads. I was over on properautocare and noticed that they prefer to use 6inch yellow hook and loop backing plates. Does it really matter...

    SIP/rotary/1500rpms

Well I plan on trying out a rotary some time soon on my dads beater van. I was planning on using a 5.5 inch LC orange pad, SIP and 1500 rpms on the makita. Is this too aggressive? Does the average conditioned car only need 1500rpms and a white LC pad? I have normally used 5.5inch orange LC pads...

Even though 845 is labeled as an insulator wax is it really a wax or a type of sealant? Is there any nuba in 845? I just tried it over the weekend and I think it matches the depth and clarity of s100 when I used it on my dark blue celica. THe mettalic flake just pops out, I absolutely love it!
