    Meguiars vs Lake Country Pads..

I may be able to get Meg's pads OTC. I like LC pads, but figured in case I ever got in a bind, i'd like to know how well Meg's pads perform. I know LC has 4 major colors that their pads come in... cutting yellow, light cutting orange, polishing white, finishing grey. Meg's apparently only has 3...

Drastic before/afters of in-progress Trans Am resto...

So I am maybe half-done polishing my 93 Trans Am. After some horrendous body work I thought it would never look good again. I'm thankful for the worthless body guy who trashed my paint... as it caused me to find autopia and get more into detailing. My process so far is 3M 39002 P-It II on a...

Need quick advice on use of 3M Perfect-It Fine Cut...

Stepped up from SSR2.5 w/ Orange LC pad to SSR2.5 w/ Yellow LC Pad. This helped alot on the severely horrible finish on my black T/A (wait for pics in the next few days.. ur gonna love the nasty pics of my car). The SSR2.5 w/ yellow pad was still not tackling alot of the marring on almost all...

Need a new light scratch pad/polish combo.

Well I've been using SSR2.5 on an LC Orange VC pad. I also have SSR1 that I've followed up with on an LC Flat White pad. Basicly the SSR2.5 takes out a LOT, but leaves enough swirls still to be noticeable. I've tried following up with 2.5 on the white, and/or ssr1 on the white. The improvement...

Used SSR1 on finishing pad... bad to use for wax now?

So, yeah... n00bie me... I was thinking "I've AIO and Zaino, and even if I do get some pastes, I'll just use em by hand". So thinking I had no use for my black finishing pad I tossed some SSR1 on there to see what it would do to my windshield (nothing btw). Is it bad to use that for wax now? Or...

Would I person like this have any business looking for customers?

Ok... I've been picky about car care for a LONG time... but always stuck w/ zaino, and no prep beyond clay. Lately I've really been getting into using so many more products and using a PC and recently getting some results I really like. The thing is... interior. When it comes to interior... the...

Was supposed to do my g/fs Liberty today... didn't happen. Probably tomorrow. Wondering ahead of time... what would be the best OTC product to use on the dark grey plastic trim over the wheel wells? n00b questions about first use of the PC 7424...

Last night I tried out the PC... only got a bout a third of the car done in SSR2.5 before the bugs were too many to handle. Anyway... First - How hard do you push? The harder you push the more it vibrates and the more it seems to bog down a little. I tried different pressures alot but...

Questions on new pads and Detailers Paradise vendor...

Just got my LC 6.5" pad kit from Detailers Paradise. Are the 6.5" MEANT to attach to a 5" backing plate or was that a mistake? Second.. due to a shipping delay, they included a free MF glass towel, as stated on the receipt. Nice surprise eh? Wrong... wasn't even IN the box! How weird is that...
