Yes! BMW Finally Gets It RIGHT!

Being an huge BMW enthusiast, I'm saddened by many of the new styling I see BMW incorporate into their final production vehicles. I don't mean to be offensive to those who may own the lines, but besides the 3 series coupe I find every new BMW either appalling or very lack luster. That is, until...

    Exterior and Interior Windows

Hey guys, windows are always a pain for me. Recently I've discovered the use of a PC + Polishing Pad + kAIO on exterior (some interior door) windows. I'm still having difficulty getting the rest of the interior windows FULLY fog free. I've found that using the wolfgang multi-colored foam pads...

How do you make white or pearl look AMAZING?

What procedures/products have you used that came out AMAZING on white or pearl?

    PC on windows?

Hey guys, I was thinking of putting some kAIO on a finishing or white LC pad and running it on windows as the lowest speed. I love what kAIO does on windows, so I have the intuition that this will work great IF it doesn't damage the windows in the first place. Soooo, am I safe using a blue or...

Wider shopvac hose = less suction?

Hey guys, my RIGID came with the widest possible hose and I've heard that causes the machine to loose suction. I plan to buy a crevice tool (Ridgid Vacuum Cleaner Claw Nozzle: Total Vac.Com) soon and am considering also purchasing a thinner hose for greater suction. Is this a good idea?

I've been seeing this a lot and can't figure out how to fix it...

I've seen and worked on a number of BMW 3 series. All of them happen to have this same issue. The "shiny metallic" plastic trim around the door/windows are SUPER fogged up. Is this just really bad oxidation? If so, how is it fixed? I've tried kAIO by hand and PC with no luck.

Who doesn't have a pressure washer?

Hey guys, while all my clients have been satisfied and never complained, I'm always a little embarrassed because I can't get stains out of carpets. I resolve/folex, vacuum, Megs APC + scrub, and vacuum. But ever with all that, the stains are still there. So what do you guys do who don't have...

    First experience with CS...

Impressive stuff. It added a nice gloss to the car, though I don't feel it did wonders for the reflectivity. The "3Dness" of panels were also GREATLY increased as a result. I ended up hazing half the car with this stuff, so I'm assuming I used WAY too much. Never the less, it was still a quick...

    Other uses for ONR?

Hey guys, I've been using ONR for clay lube for a while now. However, I've recently been informed that it leaves a soap residue on the surface so the car needs to be rinsed prior to applying a LSP. So, I'm gonna buy CG QD and use that instead (they said you didn't need to rinse after using their...

    Chemical Guys Customer Service...

Is terrific! I called the place a few times over the week, neither of the times leaving a voice mail. Each time, even AFTER the store was closed, I received a call back no more then 5-10 minutes after initially calling. On the three occasions I've gone to the store Paul, and the other...

OUCH! Help me fix this chip/ding...

I noticed a nasty little ding in the back of my car the other day. I suspect one of the neighbors who park in garages near the back of my fraternity backed up into my car and drove off. Never the less the damage is through to the primer, and the ding itself will need a pro to fix. Here are the...

No need for kAIO after claying?

Hey guys, I was told today that when using kAIO as a paint cleanser, it is redundant and unnecessary to use it after claying. Furthermore, on highly oxidized vehicles, it should be used prior to claying for the sake of the clay. I'm curious what your takes are on these two matters?

Chemical Guys liquid sealants and waxes?

Hey guys, I'm curious as to your experiences with CG sealants and waxes. I'm looking for a liquid wax and sealant comparable to Collonite 845 and PBXSealant + Carnauba. Any input would be appreciated :)

    5.25" Pad + 5" BP = problem?

Hey guys, my CCS pads don't extend much out and around my 5" backing plate. I had heard someone mention that the 5" backing plates were fine for the 5.25 pads, but now I'm a bit worried that I may scratch the car badly by rubbing it with the backing plate. Am I just over worrying or is this a...

Home made degreaser: Dawn + AIO ?

Hey guys, after watching the Bugatti Veyron detail I was considering making my own degreaser. Seeing as to how it'd help with wheels, rims and lower areas of the car what do you think about mixing dawn or AIO or both with some water and using those as a degreaser?

So how should I go about fixing and charging for individual scratches?

Hey guys, now that I have a PC :woot: , I've been playing around with pads and such. I have a customer next Saturday who mentionted he may have some scratches he wants me to repair, so I'm curious how you guys go about that, both as far as products and pricing. Here is what I have in my arsenol...

What wax best suites this need...

Hey guys, I'm getting the feeling that a liquid wax + PC is the quickest way to do a wax job on a car. This being said, I have NO experience with liquid waxes. Specifically, I'm looking for good, easy, quick. This would be for my lower end jobs (around $135). Any suggestions? Edit: Totally...

Gilmore Foamgun - a time saver?

Hey guys, either I'm just obsessed and looking for excuses to buy more stuff OR there may actually be something to this. Besides the other benefits of the foam gun, I believe it may be possible to save me some time? If I can cut out the need to dip into my soap bucket all together, I'm...
