First detail of this year, my RX7 Turbo

Been awhile since I last did a car, so I started off todays nice weather with my own car, which has been through a lot of nasty weather since it was last detailed in August. Being single stage white (AKA extremely hard), I didn't care to get all the marring out, just cared mostly about all the...

    Discussion with other detailer..

Some of you may have seen the black 240sx that I've been working on. I posted it on a local forum, and a resident detailer has started talking about her work, but time and time again, I'm amazed and sometimes confused as to what shes talking about. Here are some quotes: quote: Originally...

Black 240sx - Worse condition paint I've ever seen

Edit: Updates on last page I'm amazed how neglected this car was. Apparently it was never washed in its 15 year life, and it came from Ontario  Right when I saw it, I almost died. Hood, roof, trunk and spoiler were covered in extreme oxidation, but throughout that, it looked like...

    Oxidized, swirly Red 92 GSR

What a difference on this car! Bumpers were oxidized, along with the hood, mirrors, trunk lid and some random places, and then there was some pretty good swirling going on as well. Tried HT Extreme Cut 50/50 with OP for the first time as well, and I love it! Process: Wash Clay AIO on LC...

Stripped, Sanded, Polished my GXL wheels

One wheel fully done, took me about 2-3 hours. Stripped the black paint that the previous owner sprayed on, and the factory clearcoat. Then I had to sand down the texture that was on the wheel (you'll see in the pics). I did so with my PC and some 80 grit paper, then did 180 grit by hand...

    First rotary test

So I bought a Makita 9227 today, and could only get an 8" Megs polishing pad, AND I had no test panels, so what better to test it on than my old van :heelclick :D Took a broom to the hood and went to work :chuckle: Used Optimum Polish on that area, starting it at 600rpm, then moving up to...
