    Looking for testers

I'm helping out a company well known to everyone that needs about 4 or 5 more people to test a new sealant (I've already got a bunch from other forums too). I'm looking for people who will take the time to honestly review every aspect of the product from ease of preparation, ease of use...

    Crown Attorney's G35

This car is one of 2 that I had lined up for the long weekend. It's an '04 Infiniti G35. It's owned by a local Crown attorney, so I wanted to make sure he was pleased (not a good idea to piss off a prosecuting lawyer). It was in decent condition, although it needed correction. I chose wool for...

    9 year old 3 series

This car also belongs to someone I work with. It has had some paint work done to it, and the BIG challenge on this one was all the chips in the hood. The owner had asked me what to do, so I suggested that he fill them in with touch up paint so they could harden before I got my hands on it. Well...

    '53 Chrysler-Bar set high!

This is the vehicle that I posted last week that I would be getting to work on as well as a '42 Caddy. Well when the Chrysler arrived, I thought: what the hell am I supposed to do? It looked pretty darned nice already. It's harder when the bar is set high to make a noticeable improvement but I...

    terrible throw carpet

This throw carpet is at my back door of the garage. It got incredibly dirty and hadn't been cleaned in 2 years. I vacuumed it, power washed, soaked it with 303 (1:32) first and scrubbed, followed by woolite:water (1:10). I then used my new wet/dry vac (Thanks GMblack3!!). I then followed it up...

    '42 Caddy

I have not posted a C & B here in a long time. Here is a unique car that I thought might be of interest. It's a pretty rare car in that it's a 1942 (not a lot of cars made during the war) and it's a convertible to boot. I have never taken so long with a car as this one. I was 18 hours in...

    Review:Vapor Clean Gaia

I had mentioned in this thread (just bought a gaia vapour clean) that I had purchased a Vapor Clean Gaia model steam cleaner and extractor. I finally got it home late last night and took the instructions to work today and read the booklet straight through. I filled it with water and turned it...

    '02 Mustang

I'm off to the Police Memorial in Toronto in 1/2 hour, so I gotta make this one quick. Here's a car I did for a co-worker that has 106,000 km on it. Not bad for a 6 year old car. It was in pretty good shape too. Unfortunately it was raining when she delivered it and raining when she picked it up...

'95 Trans Am-New Trick for Clay

I got this 1995 Trans Am to do last weekend. It looked pretty dirty when I got it but I thought that it would clean up well enough and with clay would be just fine..boy was I in for a surprise. It still looked dirty after I washed it. I broke out my most aggressive clay and started to go at it...

'42 Caddy-Finally Done (and with DG)

This is the 2nd car I did for the owner of the '53 Chrysler (I didn't post it here) . The paint was a lot more work on this one but the owner told me to "Do the best you can". That's all the inspiration I needed. A little background on this car. It has been driven quite a bit considering it's a...

    need help asap

I was detailing an Infiniti M45 for a good friend of mine, in fact I did it for him last year. It was going great until I tried filling a scratch he had with some clear touch up I had for my car. Problem was, the clear wasn't all that clear and it was slightly grayish colour. I thought I could...

    Identifying paint imperfection

I need help determining what this paint imperfection is and how to correct it. This is on the roof of a VW. It had been stored outdoors for 6 months. The mark seems to be under the clear. You cannot feel it with your finger; the paint is smooth. I tried SIP by hand..nothing. I tried DG 501...

    4" pad with UDM?

I want to buy a UDM..can I use a 4" pad and the appropriate backing plate or do I need to use a 5" backing plate? I was told (I think incorrectly) that I can only use the 5"..I read the owner's manual online and it states that a 3.5" backing plate is O.K. I just want to confirm.

    jetseal vs mseal

My supply of Menz FMJ is starting to run low and I wanted to try a CG product with a quick curing time. I was thinking of jetseal or mseal. The jetseal is like twice the price. Has anyone used both? I could not find a comparison searching the threads? Another thing, does it help give a...
