    Autowerks v. 5 star shine

I was just wondering which of the two is more magically potent. :o :nixweiss Any ideas. :nixweiss I was wondering if burning 5 candles around my car would help to aid in the cause. Maybe to ward of those evil Klasse or S100 spirits I'll spread some salt around the car. Maybe if I...

    Got to my car today

I'll take daytime pictures. And of the interior. Blackfire baby. :o It rained a few drops on the car before i could get it into the garage and it's nice to have the BFII beading back. I missed it. :xyxthumbs

    Washed...not detailed..Friend's car

NXT wash and Eagle one Wax As You Dry. I didn't take any pictures of the whole car because the water froze before we got to drying the rest of the car. I think it turned out pretty good for just a wash/quick detail. :nixweiss

I'm really liking this NXT wash (sans the smell)

I went on a limb and I bought some NXT wash even though I don't think their wax is "GREAT!" while I was buying an oil filter. The smell leaves something to be desired still. I really don't like it and if I had a larger car I probably wouldn't be able to use it because it's way to strong and...

Eagle One Wax As You Dry and Fantastik OxyPower

My friend called me up today and asked me to wash her car. I did the normal routine and then I noticed I had some Eagle One Wax As You Dry in my basket so I thought hmm why not. (I know this product has been reviewed before, but I figured we could revisit it for some of the new members you...

    Eliminating a musty smell...

Well it's finally warming up here in Buffalo and well, my car has a musty smell inside. I don't know what it is. I cleaned the carpets and mats, left them out of the car for a few days and just drove it without (it was dry out) and it still has a musty smell. I don't think it's any of the...

    How difficult would it be...

To teach myself how to paint cars reasonably well? My grandfather has a body shop, but my family isn't really on good terms with that side of the family. Don't really talk to him much, I've spent only a little bit of time around I was thinking about getting the air compressor and tools. I...

    Crafsman 1.5hp 2 gallon shopvac

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00917716000 Any good? I'm not looking to extract water or anything, just something portable. Or should I save for the 3hp 3 gallon one? Choices choices. Or anything better, similar size, and cheap (uhm, under...

Dear Makers of NXT: the product is good, the smell is bad

Your product is very good. I'm actually going to pick up a bottle when it comes available here. After putting a coat on the black Stratus with zero prep (ugh, winter is still lurking around here, it was just a quick coat), I conclude that maybe it just does nothing for metallic paint, or...

    Chipping rear bumper...

My rear bumper started chipping. There is a small chip that goes down to the plastic. The other is on the corner (I think somebody hit me in a parking lot) and it's going down to another coat that's lighter. :o What can I do to uhm, help stop this from getting any worse?

Corey things NXT is good, not great.

I like to test products that are overhyped I guess. I bought Blackfire II last year and wasn't totally impressed until I could see the results in the summer (I bought it in the winter of course). Anyway, I got a sample of QEW and NXT from tpgsr (diamond detailing). I love the QEW, but the...

    Finally pictures--but horrible quality

$5 Disposable cameras just don't cut it anymore. On the Stratus: Clay DACP with Porter Cable (yellow pad) Blackfire Polish Blackfire sealant I just noticed those pictures were taken at my grandfather's house after he passed away. :( 1997 Accord -- although you can't tell Clay...

Do certain paints swirl more easily?

I was wondering this because I got a ride in my friend's 2001 Jetta yesterday, and she has no swirls. She's not real enthusiastic with keeping the finish up, other than washing it and the occaisional wax. My mom's Stratus which is taken care of very well always has swirls. I fixed them in...

    Bath towels

I'm under the impression people on other websites don't have the advantages of Autopia. This is about drying off cars. Maybe they like the swirled look? :o

I am now not a fan of Blackfire.

It's VERY smeary/hazey. The paint looked 10x better than before I used it. Let me tell you what I did: Wash Clay Bar (clay magic) DACP with Yellow pad with PC Another pass of DACP with the white pad BF Polish with the white pad. BF sealant with the black pad. The haze is...

    Pinstripe removal and cleanup

My friend is inquiring on how to remove a 5" by 2" pinstripe (sticker/decal, I'm guessing) from a 3 year old maroon colored car. (on the rear quarter panel) I did a search but really got no solid advice on how to get it off and get whatever residue that may be left cleaned up. Help a fellow...

I never knew how confusing getting a PC is...

So I went to my local supply place. They used to carry the 7424 or something like it last summer. But now only the 7428  So I searched this site over, but lets just say that the search button is much overrated. :p I've decided to get the 7424 at Coastal Tool for $120 (5"...

    Blackfire Storage Problems

I haven't used or touched the Blackfire polish or sealant in maybe 7 months. I just haven't had a solid few hours to do the work so I've been using a one step for the past few months. The problem occurs with the polish itself. I put some of the polish on to the applicator and a bunch of oil...
