    Pearl Coat?

I haven't driven my car in over a week, because of the snow. I would normally drive it, since it has great traction control, but it looks way too perdy to taint for the first time ;) Who else is down for the count? I'll drive it again for work probably after New Years.

So yeah, I e-mailed a few universities to see what they had to say, about 2 weeks ago. I only got one response :D Coincidentally we were already having a discussion. Dear Steve, First, I have to say that you have sent me the most interesting water question that I have ever received. You...

    Whats your paint detailing process?

What's everyone doing for detailing this weekend. I'm going to wash and probably put a coat of Souveran (if it stops raining) Supposedly it's going to be 50's all week in Ohio next week, VERY unseasonable weather, but we can't complain :) x-mas shopping too: 1 for me, 1 for you, 2 for you, 1...

Deep Gloss Teaser: Dirty Little 17 Year Old German

Okay I've gone a little off track in my recent thoughts of the "correct" way to use the whole Klasse system. As I think aloud again :), let's put our brainstorming caps on again and see if we can come up with something more for the prewax paint prep steps. Does anyone wash after the clay...

Apparently no one washes cars in Ohio: Someone send me a 100% cotton mitt please.

It's mitt replacing time for the winter. But in every place I've been to I can't find the 100% cotton mitt, unless it's on a stick (which I don't want). If someone has better access to the 100% cotton one that has the better padding, than I do to these things and can send me one US post, it'll...

I saw this at autozone today, any one try it. The red bottle is translucent, and you can see white milky separation. I didn't check to see if it's water based, duh! :) Designed for people who want to maintain that rich "like new" look on their dashboards, trim, tires, and hundred of other...

blackfire has the ability to layer immediately (well almost) but way shorter than let's say Klasse sooooo who has layered it an how many times, is there a diminished return and who's tried to remove it. Does it work on glass and plastic and rough black trim like on my car? I know 5 layers...

winter reminder :) new rubbermaid thingy

I got just a rubber maid container thingy to hold some of my detailing stuff. I haven't gotten everything in there but here's a pic. I needed something that was tall enough to fit my tallest QD bottle. It has kinda interesting features like wheels on the bottom and the lid has a hinge that...

    24 foot Hallet by Icon

Okay here's some stuff that I would like to see (I'm sure I'll think of more tomorrow). - The ABC system in consumer friendly sizes, not necessarily samples but car wash sizes. Maybe a consumer kit (ron? :D) - Maybe a car wash (besides ABC) that strips Klasse, safely, without residue...

TOL Protective Tape, anyone try it?

Anyone try the protective body tape from topoftheline? Supposedly you can put it on paint and remove it at any time without damage or residue to your paint. I was looking at putting it on the inside of my wheels, the part I can't get into, in order to preserve it. Anything's got to be...

    "Constant Pressure" pad question...

So I'm sooo excited. In my company they're putting in a phat garage door into the wastewater treatment center of my company (chemical waste not crap!). But they're doing it to house the snow plow. But we're talking warehouse, heat (like the heat blows on me), bright lights, heated water, even...

Watch this and take a good look in the mirror

So now that I have super clean insides of my wheels, i have to keep them clean. I noticed that the VW driver magazine sells a wheel brush meant for getting in on the inside of the wheel behind the rotor and stuff. Anyone have this? How does everyone else clean the insides of their...

I purchased the Souveran Kit becuase of a deal on E-Bay. I figured why not since I was going to order the Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion (and cause I use the Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo already). Let's see what can I say about Souveran. At first it took a bit of coaxing and warming up to get...
