    Motul Shine & Go

Anyone ever tried this? A lot of people recommend it for plastic bodywork on a karting site I am on, but I had never heard of it (and a search turned up nothing). I assume it's formulated for motorcycles. It's Silicone Based (and proud of it!). Thoughts? Motul Shine & Go

    Wonder who details it?

A lot of times, I think we're nuts with the obsession we take with cars. I stand corrected: 1/3 Ferrari His follow up will probably be to build a 1/3 scale PC. :)

    Anti-Detailing Product

Just don't know what to say... SprayonMud Oh wait - just figured it out! The pros could get this, spray it on people's cars & then offer their services! :) A buddy of mine caught the local window washer (who has some mental issues) doing this a few weeks ago - throwing dirty water on a...

    Wrench Socket set?

Was needing another set of wrenches + a set of sockets. Looking at the Craftsman / Gear Wrench wrenches, and was wondering if anyone had experience with the socket set that fits in the wrench itself vs. a complete seperate socket set. The 8 pc. set will cover everything I need, so I don't need...

Civic Si vs. RSX vs. Tiburon

Okay, wife wants a new car. Based on looks / price range, she's narrowed it down to these three. Haven't driven any of them yet. Figure some other people have been comparing these three, any thoughts? Pros? Cons?

    Narrow Wall storage

I was installing an overhead storage system in my Dad's garage, and found this cabinet by the same manufacturer. I bought one (and am going to buy two more). Becasue we live in an old house with very little cabinet space in the kitchen, we have some narrow, open wire shelving in the stairway...

    Indy Car Fans in Midwest

Thought I would post this for race fans who are already jonesing from the season being over. My local kart track is running an Enduro Race on October 15th. It's a TaG race, and the karts run about 80 down the backstraight on the 1.1 mile course. This is big-time karting-not little toys like...

Professional Driver / Closed Course / Blah, Blah,Blah

The disclaimers on car commercials are really starting to get to me! Seems like they're getting larger and more detailed, and more ridiculous. And now they're showing crash test videos and a big 'Dramatization' at the bottom. Why show it then? Are you lying to me that the car won't hold up...

Free spyware / adware/ malware recommendations?

I have looked all over the place, can't figure out who to trust, who is just more adware, who is really #1 and who just claims to be. And found out that a number of them are 'free scans' - but to remove them costs you (and I won't buy a program from a company that tries to trick you like that)...

    Marketing idea - car coaster

First, I am not showing these to sell them-call your local ASI Distributor if it interests you. I was at a promotional products show in Chicago last week and absorbent car coasters were huge. Not sure why-they don't do much for me, but they seemed to be a big trend based on the number of...

    Garden Hose Filter Idea

For those of you who use a garden hose filter, here's a little system I worked out. And I got mine from the pwgazzette site always mentioned on here, but I would think it would work for any rechargeable filter. First, I mounted the bracket / canister to the side of the house, right behind...

    gasoline & oxidation

Sort of a detailing question, but wasn't sure where to put it, so here goes... Yesterday saw a red car (don't even know what it was) that was heavily oxidized - to the point of being more of a pink than red. However, there was one area that was not oxidized at all - looked nice & glossy. It...

    Zaino on Unique Whips

Anyone watch Unique Whips? Last night, there was a brief shot across a table, and there were a couple of bottles sitting on the table. Couldn't tell what they were, but definitely Zaino bottles (looked like Z6 bottles). Wonder if that's all they use? I've seen a few of their washes & wasn't...

    Router (wood, not computer) help

Okay, so I'm looking to buy a router. Need to make a few cabinet doors and such-nothing too complicated - basically some roundovers and rabbits ('50's style doors). There seem to be 3 types of routers: fixed, plunge and convertible. I know I want to have a fixed with a table, but it is worth...

    Car Show 'detailers'

So I went to the Indy Auto Show yesterday. They had 'detailers' running all over the place, most of them with a shirt on with the name 'Car Show Detailers' or something similar, with a phone number & all. My observations: About 1/2 of them had microfibers, about 1/2 had terry cloth towels...
