Bought the wrong backing plate from AG it is made for 8" pads. I lined up the backing plate to a 6.5" pad and lined up. Should I return the plate and get a smaller one or can i still use it? Thanx

Recently purchased a Hitachi rotary and been using it here and there. I precently have the 6" edge wave pads but I am having a problem with them. I used a normal 6.5 CCS pad the other day and had no problem with skipping. Which pads should I invest in for my rotary? Poll to follow......

Going to use 106ff via pc/ and rotary then top with Z5. Do I need to do a whipe down before applying Z5? Also what exaclty is a IPA whipe down. Is it basically rubbing alcohol cut 1/1 with distilled water? Thanx
