    And speaking of wood trim.....

I have some very minor but noticeable (to my eyes) scratches in the wooden trim`s coating. A while ago I tried some high gloss compound in a small area and that made matters worse. What do you pro`s suggest to get those scratches/swirls removed, if anything?

    Wood trim care?

I`m assuming that all the "wood" trim in cars is either faux wood or wood coated with some type of protective finish, or else humidity and temp changes would wreak havoc. If indeed real wood with a coating, what would be proper care for the trim? I guess any interior cleaner and detailer used...

    Reload.

Couple of questions on Reload. I have a half empty bottle of Relaod that I bought about 3 years ago. Has it been reformulated since then and has time affected its abilities for adding protection? My car is coated (Nanolex) and after washing and dried is maintained with detailing sprays - GG BOC...

So I go to my dealer for an oil change....

As I posted in my beloved Audiworld forum... I went to my (one of) dealer for a 15k oil change - yes I get it changed every 5k! They did the Bose trim recall also. Now before I go to the dealer for maintenance I usually wash it prior so they can see that it is a clean, well kept car - and...

Connolly`s Hide Food- Leather Conditioner - nla?

Some years ago, I bought the above listed product a few years ago, thought it was pretty good - though the wrong product to use on my ventilated seats, but I don`t see it mentioned here on Autopia as something to use. Did it fall out of favor somehow?

    Best glass cleaner?

I`ve using Stoner`s Invisible Glass and GG glass cleaner. Both are ok, not bad, but nothing noteworthy. Suggestions for everyday cleaners - not glass polish or sealers?

    Removing a coating?

I finally got to wash my car today after about 2 months of snow and freezing weather. Earlier this year I had Nanolex professionally applied and I don`t think it offered as good a protection as I had hoped. I mean the hood still beads up real well - coating applied on top of Xpel, but the doors...

Winter washing - what to do?

Sorry if this has been asked before -I`m betting it has, but what do you guys recommend/do in the winter months - car is dirty with residual salt/snow when it`s way too cold out to do a Rinseless wash and the cars are way too dirty for a WW? My car has Expel on the hood and front bumper and has...

Slighty OT, but what about stainless steel grills?

Ok, not exactly on topice, but does touch the perimiter of detailing. For an outside stainless steel grill - one that has the top insulated so it gets hot, but not grill temp hot - (upwards of 500) is there a car sealent that provides protection for the grill or is it just too hot for any type...

    How often to wash?

Ok, assuming you know what you are doing, have the correct tools and proper technique, is there a point at which you are washing too often? Meaning, that even with all the aforementioned right stuff, you are doing more harm than good by washing too often, rather than letting the car remain with...

Recommendations for a long lasting tire shine product

What are some of the better products for a shine that will last through a few washings? I have tried GG long Lasting Tire shine, but - even with proper prep, does not seem to hold a shine - and I`m a pretty big fan of their products, sooooooooooooooooooo any recomendations are appreciated.

    Leather cleaning?

Since most of today`s cars that have a leather interior that is already factory coated, what`s the purpose of using leather care products? The actual coating surely must not allow the leather products to penetrate below that surface. Also, from my undertaking there is little leather in most cars...

It`s pollen season - what do you guys do?

Ok, pollen season is upon us and you can wash your car in the morning and have your car dusted in pollen by early afternoon. This is everyday. So do you simply accept is as inevitable, shrug your shoulders and ignore it, use a detail spray everyday, chance using a California Duster? Speaking of...
