Interesting use for a paint sprayer

So I`m perusing through some Youtube videos and I saw this and thought this is an interesting idea - using a paint sprayer as sort of a poor man`s pw to loosen up the dirt prior to a rr or ww wash - especially in water restricted areas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJpDk2U7bVA

    Foam gun - foam cannon?

I have/had a GG Foam Gun - ya know the one that goes on the end of the garden hose. This is the second or third unit as none of them lasted - that aside GG Customer Service is excellent. So, I`m thinking about either getting one but am also considering getting a PW and if I get the PW would get...

    Alternative to GG Surface Prep

I`m going to be doing my 2006 Outback and want an aggressive wash product (preferably foam) fo take off sealant. grime, etc. I would like to buy the GG Surface Prep, but only comes in gallon sizes and that would be sitting around for a loooooooooooooong time before before I could/would ever...

    Applying coatings - weather question

Ok, applying a coating outdoors - you want the weather to cooperate - temps above 60 or so, low humidity, not windy, no rain predicted for a few days, but what about that spring issue - pollen? Pollen is a problem we all have to deal with in Spring, so does that negate doing a new coating...

    Car shampoo/wash question

I have been using GG Brilliant car wash and UWW for WW and RW`s with good results. But it seems there are shampoos made for coated cars. Why is that? Are they better than the "generic" shampoos?

    Weiredst thing - pollen?

Pic taken today after washing. Some beading but nothing compared to the first picture. As an aside, GG PFM`s are absolutely incredible.

    Weiredst thing - pollen?

My car has been ceramic coated 2 years ago and I have maintained it with NanolexSI and various detail sprays over that time Kenotek GG Best of Show Detailer, Nextzett Perfect Shine even tried BeadMaker all to good use. Water beaded like crazy when it rained. When I wash my car (usually starts...

    BOSS using foam sprayer?

I`m aware that the recommended application of the BOSS products is using a foam cannon and pressure washer. But, how much of a loss in effectiveness would there be using those products in their foam sprayer, rather than foam cannon? FWIW, I have not had much luck with this foam sprayer as far...

    Optimum Tire Protection & Coating

Ok, just saw this product demonstrated on Pan`s site. TIRE PROTECTION AND COATING - Optimum Dressings - Optimum Forum I know, I know - another `latest and greatest" product, but if can last 6 months on most vehicles, this could be a game changer for tire dressings. Of course, I just saw this...

Pressure washer and foam cannon recommendations

I am thinking about getting a PW for use on my cars. I am looking for an electric unit - doesn`t need to be super powerful, but one that is moderately priced, user friendly and reliable. The same question about foam cannons. Simple and reliable. I have not had much luck in the past (15 or so...

    Spring decontamination questions

Ok, so I`m going to do a thorough spring washing before detailing. Going to use an iron remover, clay and then shampoo. Then follow with IPA or Eraser and coating. Is Eraser (or similar) as effective as IPA? Is it ok to clay a coated car? I`m guessing yes, but just wanted to make sure.

    Kenotek showroom shine

I know there`s a zillion quick detail sprays out there and more by the month, but any thoughts/comments on this detail spray? KENOTEK SHOWROOM SHINE Ooops, I see where there were a couple of threads on Kentek, but the last was 3 years ago.

    Nanolex Si3D Coating

I hear you and respect your thorough testing, but that`s what is on my car, soooooooooo I will make the most of it and do the decon and then the whole rest of that project. But my comments were - as mentioned - not entirely fair since I was expecting the same beading on the lower panels as on my...

    Let it Bead..

Ok, dumb question. Whether it be by wax, sealant or coating, is water beading or sheeting more desirable? I understand that if your car beads water and you let it dry chances are greater to get water spots. But doesn`t it also mean you are getting greater protection?

Soooo, I did a quick wash today

With the winter upon us (NE NJ) and the temps down for quite some time, I was thinking about maybe a touchless wash just to get that old snow, salt and dirt off my Allroad. Low and behold, it was sunny and in the high 40`s, so I grabbed my bucket filled it with warm water and poured in my usual...
