    How is this possible?

You go to visit a forum, IE tells you that the page cannot be displayed. This is the case from say 6:00 a.m. until noon. When you are finally able to view the website, there are posts from the 6:00 a.m. - noon window. Why was it not down for others?

Detailing the "engine" of a hybrid

I have a few coming up and it just occured to me that the motor may be tricky. I have not done one yet. Anything to avoid? Anyone had any problems? FWIW, it is a Toyota Highlander hybrid, two actually. :)

Jet black Supurb on twenty-twins, 56K no

At least that what's they call them in Memphis. :D Exterior only a late model surburban, <15,000 miles, can’t you tell by the paint? This sucker really challenged me, I tried five different combos on my test spot before deciding. The paint was really hard. Process was...

Black civic+FILTH+body shop=a pretty extreme detail, no 56K

This civic had less than 60,000 miles on it, but boy did it have advanced aging syndrome. The paint was horrible, the interior was worse, and the truck smelled like it had hauled around a dead body. Sounds fun, huh? The front bumper, front left quarter panel, and front driver’s side door...

GC accessories on clearance at Target

They had all of the towels, chamois, and the even coat applicator. The WW's were $6.28 and the towels were $2.68. Might be worth checking your local target, the towels were located on the end of an aisle in my Target. If anyone is reading this in Memphis, do not go to the wolfchase location...

Thinking of trying one of these for trim

Or rather for applying dressing to trim, it seems like it *might* work??? The ends are made of a fairly dense foam and some of them are angled as opposed to "rolling" like the link depicts. Thoughts...

Weekend full of details 56K NEED NOT APPLY

I had a fairly busy weekend. The temps were near 100 and the humidity was around 40%, I was dragging by the end. First up, I had two vehicles at the same location. An elderly gentleman who needed his cars cleaned up, he wanted one-steps. This guy was as cool as a fan, 80 years...

Those of you that use a lot of SSR2.5

Autogeek has it in 32oz containers for $17.95. I have been using it quite a bit lately and was going to order some more. I had a hard time locating anything larger than the 16oz bottle. Not a bad deal, just thought I would pass it on. p.s. Mods I guess this could be posted in the good...

Weekend detail..SWIRLED red trailblazer, 56K? eh..

I did a detail over the weekend for a buddy of mine. He bought this truck for his wife, the dealer hacks did a number on the paint. This was a no charge detail, we just hung out and took our time. I started at 9:30 and ended around 3:30, this is a VERY long amount of time for...

If you detail in the heat, this may interest you (apparel related)

In Memphis the heat and humidity in the summer can be absolutely HORRIBLE. :( I use to detail in cargo shorts and a cotton T-shirt. My fiance recommended that I try the NIKE "dri-fit" shirts and picked me up a few. Woah!! THEY WORK!! Evidently you can get them in all different styles...

Reviving a NEW paint job *56K nay*

Today I detailed a 95 (I think) civic that had recently been painted. The painter must have used either bad paper or poor technique. There were sanding scratches all over it and tracers EVERYWHERE. While I could not remove some of the marks, I did my best to bring the “new paint...

330HP EVO VIII RS Detail *pics* 56K probably not

Over the weekend I detailed two cars at the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of performance. The first was 92 supercharged fox body mustang, a really sweet car: the second cae was 2004 (I think) Mitsubishi EVO VIII. This evo was just as modded as the 5.0, the car dynode at 330+ HP to the...
