    Duragloss Rinseless vs ECH2O...

Both work fine, to me the Duragloss seems bit more slick and less streaky. So I mixed them together. Seems to be a perfect marriage.

Griots Black Satin Tire Coating vs Meguiars Ultimate Black Tire Coating...

I`ve tried both tire products on a couple different vehicles. If sprayed with a heavy application the Griots gives a glossy look, if you wipe it down it will be more matte. The Meguiars is a heavy hitter with a deep black glossy look without the heavy greasy look. If allowed to dry neither will...

    Griots spray tire cleaner...

This is a kick arse product. It works great on tires and dirty wheels. Cuts crud most other wheel cleaners leave behind. Not sure I`d use it on a regular basis on clearcoated wheels.

    Leather Honey Conditioner...

Someone on facebook made a post praising Leather Honey. He owns a 4th gen Fbody which are notorious for having cardboard leather seats. So I figured that since this was a family owned business, I`d give the product a try. This product looks like a clear syrup. It`s suggested to soak it in warm...

    303 Graphene review...

Found a bottle of the 303 Graphene at Advance Auto. I grabbed it just to see if it lives up to the hype. Here`s my opinion. First I applied it to an applicator. It has a blackish hue to the product and stained the applicator, no big deal, I guess. Application is easy, it just glides smoothly. it...

    Nu Finish Ceramic

Nu Finish has entered the market with a spray and wipe ceramic coating. It`s at WalMart for anyone feeling nostalgic.

Mothers CMX 3 in 1 polish

I saw the Mothers CMX 3 in 1 polish at WalMart. $14 for 16 oz. Price is pretty good for a OTC product. I think this is probably comparable to Dr Beasley`s Z1 but less expensive. I`m not sure that it`s a true AIO type product. As for durability, I can`t comment because I`m simply reviewing it as...

    Mothers CMX wash

I found this on discount at my local Advance Auto. It`s a really think liquid and it doesn`t suds a lot, which really isn`t an issue. The lubricity is really good and the water beading after washing is nice and tight. This is a really good SIO2 soap.

Mothers Back To Black Trim Restorer...

I picked up a bottle of the Mothers Trim Restorer to try on some hard textured plastic. Nothing I`ve used as worked very well on this particular plastic. I applied some to a MF towel and rubbed it on. I didn`t see much in the way of black transfer to the towel but that might have been that I...

    Griots yellow bottle complete compound...

For a hobby detailer who doesn`t need bulk sizes, the Griots complete compound is a nice choice. Decent cut depending on the pad. Paired with a MF pad this stuff cuts through moderate defects. Good working time and doesn`t dust.

    Turtle Wax trim restorer...

Saw the TW trim restorer on the shelf at my local WalMart. It was cheap enough at $7 to try. Previously I used Mothers Back To Black. Initially it looked good but over 4 weeks has started to fade a bit. I grabbed a cheap MF and applied this thickish liquid on it and rubbed it on textured black...

    Long throw pad experiment...

I Have the Bauer 21mm polisher. It came with a 6.5 inch polishing pad. I saw a video where Apex tried that pad and immediately set it aside. The first time I tried it, it pulled and jumped and skipped. I set it aside and tried a different pad which was much smoother. After reading a bit about...

    Carpro ECH20

I tried ECH20 as a rinseless wash today. I used two cap fulls of product to about 1.5 gallons of water. Seemed to work pretty decent. Removed easily and no streaking. I used a sponge so it`s hard to judge slickness but when I wiped with a MF it didn`t seem grabby. Did I use enough or not enough...

    Bauer 21mm polisher

I bought a 21mm Bauer polisher for doing my truck. This thing is way more powerful than the PC. It is a little bit more tricky to work with compared to the shorter throw PC. The thing I noticed is that pads tend to grab more with the longer throw. I did my truck with the Bauer yellow polishing...

    How does Blackfire compare?

I`m kinda wondering how PBMA tiers their product lines. I`m assuming that DP is kinda like their entry level pro products and since they are sold in larger sizes that Blackfire would be the upper level pro products. Does that make Wolfgang equal or better than Blackfire? Obviously Pinnacle is...

    Viking Prestige towels

I found the Viking Prestige towels at Oreilly Auto parts. They have two different styles. One is a short nap, it almost feels like a terry cloth type weave and the other is a thin suede mf towel. Both are as nice quality as some of the higher end name brand towels and reasonable priced at about...

    Playing Jr chemist...

I recently saw a video where Jimbo on youtube mixed 6 spray and wipe ceramic products together and got a pretty good result. That being said, make sure you read labels as some chemicals shouldn`t be mixed. Water based products should be fairly safe to mix. I recently mixed Z6 detailer with a...

    Bauer Pad review...

I picked up a couple of the Bauer pads at Harbor Freight since I had a couple pads that had the foam break down. The yellow is a polishing pad and it worked quite nicely. On a lighter colored vehicle with a finishing polish it would probably leave a nice enough finish. The white pad is their...

    Griots yellow bottle polish

This is a pretty darn good product. Easy to use and available at the local autoparts store. It has a long work time and finishes down to a nice gloss.

    Cheapest SIO2 product?

So I stumbled on a product at Advance Auto. Sprayway SIO2 Wax in an aerosol can. Sprayway is famous for their glass cleaner. This just might be the sleeper product of the year at $15. If nothing else, it might be easier to apply to wheels than other products.
