So my new car fever hit again like it usually does every spring (and fall). I found myself looking at some used cars and it seems that coatings are making their way to Carfax reports. I know its a small sample, and of course not even close to a controlled environment, but could I tell any of them have been coated? NOPE. I couldn't help but think these people spent north of $500 maybe even $1k+ on getting their cars coated. ROI, probably pretty close to zero.
I know from first hand experience from over a decade of using coatings, they help, but the hype is so high. While I never expereienced the car that stays spotless due to a coating, I do think they save me from claying as much as I used to. Would I even tell a family member that it is money well spent on their car, absolutely NOT! Nothing keeps paint looking nice like regular washes.
Sharpen those keyboards and let me have it, prove me wrong!
