Any idea on RPMs on HF Drillmaster rotary?

I've got this rotary from harbor freight Sander/Polisher - 7 Speed Electric Sander & Polisher. I have no idea to what rpms switch numbers correspond. Manual doesn't list it, just a range 200-3377 rpm. Web, forum search didn't yield any results. thanks. Edit :I guess if I do a little math I'll...

    Diffrence between SIP and IP

I am a little confused. I've been reading conflicting things, some sources say that SIP has stronger cut (6/10) than IP, others say IP is stronger than SIP. Menzerna chart says that they are the same as far as cut goes. So?

For how long will 16 oz. Menzerna last?

I'm thinking about getting new polish. I tried Optimum line with PC last year, but wasn't impressed. Now I'm debating between Poorboy's SSR and Menzerna, but leaning more towards Menzerna. I don't want to buy a lot of product. Pakshak has 16 oz. of IP and FP. I will be doing maybe my 2 cars once...

Did I just do a stupid thing?

So I stopped by at the local Car Quest to pick up some AW along with Duragloss QD. My car had 3 days worth of dust and and it sprinled the other night, so it had noticeable dust/water marks. Given I couldn't get it completely swirl-free during last polishing session, I decoded to try to quick...

    Optimum polishes not PC friendly?

So I finally did my car. Results and satisfaction: 6 out of 10. I used OP and OC on Egde pads with PC. It's dark blue 2004 Accord. I picked Optimum because of ability to work outside. I started with less aggressive combo edge blue pad+OP and moving up to yellow+OC followed by blue/OP and worked...

    Started my detail...

Yesterday I did part of my long planned full detail. I did engine bay and tried wheels. First of all, engine bay haven't seen any water or cleaners for 3 years. I sparyed it with Meg's APC 4:1, scrubed, rinsed and covered with 303 protectant. Now it looks better than new! Too bad I din't take...

Differences between Edge 6' and 4' pads

Just got my order of Edge pads today. I compared 6' and 4' green pads and they seem to be different. 6' feels more stiffer or firmer, while 4' feels pretty close to 6' blue. Is this normal? Can't wait to try them PS; I was thinking maybe I can practice on our polished tea table :grinno:

    Mirrors... what to polish with?

It's 2004 Honda. I want to polish mirrors too. Any products recomendations? I've ordered OP, OC and some glass polishing kit from autogeek. Are mirrors made of glass or plastick?

    Scratches in plastic. Repair?

Ok, my wife made a few scratches with her diamond ring on the plastic around door handle (inside). What are the options for repairing/minimizing them?

How would you approach this scratch?

I have 2 quite long scratches on my doors (sorry no pics). They are not that deep or wide, but visible, looks just grey hair. I can barely it with my nail. I'm not sure if its went all the way through clear coat. Would you: -touch up paint -sand it down -polish. I'm thinking on trying...

About to put the order. Need review.

I was reading this forum for about a month now. As spring gets warmer here in the North West, I am planning to give my car (and possibly couple of others) full detail. After reading and reading I like Optimum products, because I will be working outside under the sun. Here's what I want to do...

    My plan of action

Hi everybody, I'm new here and new to detailing, so excuse my "noobidity", but I've done quite of reading. I have a dark blue '04 Honda Accord that didn't see much detailing for all this time, except for washes (including autimatics) and waxing couple of times a year. I also have few rock...
