Can I use sealant or wax on my brushed aluminum dash pieces. It is not plastic, but uncoated brushed aluminum, aftermarket. It is very scratchable so I want to protect it and make it a little slippery.

I want to remove my spoiler but I will have 4 holes in the trunk lid . Would some of those flat snap covers you see over screws etc in cars work to plug the holes? I could paint them to match the paint. I don't think I'd mind this considering how much re-painting the trunk lid would cost...
