I usually go front to back(direction of the wind) on the horizontal surfaces and up/down on the vertical surfaces. This has carried over from my Zaino days. Just wondering how you guys do it?

What do you guys use when you clean your engine bay? I am currently using Simple Green but that usually dries up my hoses and want to try something else. Please share your products and techniques.
