Claying but not polish and waxing??

At a car event I was at recent someone was demonstrating the use of a clay bar. What was worrying was that they were claying parts of the car to demonstrate the smooth finish but they werenâ€â„¢t polishing or waxing the car before they left. What damage would that do to the paint...

    Wheel Wells/Arches

Firstly let me say this site is full of really great information and the level of detail simply excellent! I am looking for some advice. I have a 911 Turbo and although you cannot really see the wheel wells I know they really need a good clean. A few weeks back I took of one of the wheels...

    Layering Wax

A quick question, I currently use Zymol concours wax and today I clayed, HD cleansed and put on one coat of wax. I have been told by Zymol that the more layers of wax I put on the deeper shine I should get. From pass experience this is true and I always wait 24 hours been each coat. After 24...

    Clay Bar

My paint is in very good condition but I would like to clay the car for the first time. I appears to be relatively easy to get Clearkote or Meguiars here in the UK. Can anyone recommend an easy use product that I can try? Thanks

    Brake Calipers

I notice on some of the pictures posted that the brake calipers look great. Is it acceptable to use wax on these given the heat that may be generated? Thanks

    Removing paint from trim

One of my cars has just had the rear quarter repainted and inside the petrol filler area, which is plastic, has a trace of the new paint. What is the best way to remove this paint? Thanks

    Scuffed Leather

Hi, I have a few scuff marks on the leather interior on my car and I wonder if anyone can recommend any products to cover the scuff marks with? It is not serious enough to warrant a complete re-trim, just some marks near the door handles and door cards. Thanks

    Zymol Usage

I had done a few searches on Zymol products but don't find much referrence to their products. Whilst I realise they are expensive (read VERY in the UK!) I am a big user of their products. Do people feel they are not worth the expense?

Porsche 993 Twin Turbo Engine Detailing

I am looking for some advice. I am planning to detail my engine and for those of you who know about this car the majority of the engine is covered by a massive intercooler. Does anyone have any experience of removing this device and is it relatively easy to do? Apologies for putting...
