    Cold caling offices/business parks

This topic is not discussed all too often and I was hoping for some other feedback from mobile detailers. I'll start by sharing my experience On days where I am not terribly busy or when on a mobile job I like to cold call surrounding offices & business parks. My experience has been you have to...

Are some cars even worth correcting?

I have done a couple of 80-90% corrections. Sometimes I ask myself, is this car even worth correcting? If a car has multiple dings, large scratches, paint transfers, chips, and just other defects that cannot really be repaired. I ask myself, is this car worth correcting? Thoughts?

What is everyone charging for a basic detail?

By basic detail, I mean wash, clay, AIO cleaner wax, interior detailed, tires, trim and wheelwells cleaned and dressed, glass cleaned etc. small car? midsize car? SUV? Truck? For a smaller car I think starting at $150 for 5-6 hours of work is at least "good". Maybe I am wrong though.

Do you like all of your customers?

For those of you that do this for a living or part time, do you like all of your customers? Are some of your customers just really dumb and expect everything to be done for dirt cheap? I do this on the side, and I refuse to do business with this trashy waitress that wants me to do a full...

    Blackfire Wet Diamond

Is this product as good as some folks claim it is? I know it gets a lot of talk on another forum. I never tried the product but would be interested to hear what everyone thinks of it. Seems a little over hyped IMO.

    Disappointing products

So, I noticed that there were a couple other threads on the topic of dissappointing products, but they were about five years old. I would like to generate another discussion on products that did not meet expectations or we were left disappointed with. A lot of new products have been released...

What looks like rust spots on white paint

All of the white cars I have detailed have those little rust spots on them, I can remove them with clay but it takes a long time. Is there a better way to remove them? Anyone else know what I am talking about?

    2001 Yellow Corvette

Just finished this car up today, took about thirteen hours. This is my client's wifes vette and she uses it as a daily driver. It gets pretty dirty and I usually wash it for her twice a week. I have not done anything to the paint since May so it was in need of a good clay and an AIO. She was not...

    Such beautiful reflections

Didnt plan on posting any pictures but after looking at them when I got home I just had to post something since it looks great for just a monthly wash/clay/wax. No sunshots, just reflections. Could not pull the car outside since it was raining, but this car was de-swirled a long time ago...

    1999 Toyota Sienna

Just finished this van yesterday evening, I have been working on it on and off and finally got it done. I did the exterior, interior and engine but forgot to take pictures of the engine. Customer wanted a smooth and shiny van and was not really interested in correction work. So I washed, clayed...
