Why do some buy the Souveran paste wax for $70 when u can get the liquid Souveran for $30. Is there a difference in results? Isnt the liquid easier to apply anyway???

I bought this car not too long ago and it doesnt seem that the previous owner took care of the leather like he should have. I am trying to bring it back. But only the leather on that one panel is cracked. Everything else is good. Please advise! Thanks
