    Windshield Wiper Maintenance

I periodically machine polish and also apply 303 to the rubber blades and let it sit overnight. I've also had terrific life span and performance from the premium BOSCH blades. Kinda getting away from the glass coatings after watching a BILT HAMBER video on the subject.

    Gyeon CanCoat

Good product choice. You should have no problem getting a year from it. I like the Carcoat EVO, very easy to work with.

New "ceramic" product line up from Turle Wax (2020)

Guys, it looks like Turtle Wax did an intro of their new "ceramic" product line in Arizona recently. Maybe 5 new SiO2 based products. I viewed on "Pan the Organizer" Youtube channel. (I`m not posting the link, easy to find.)

    Armor Shield 9 coating?

Armor Shield IX nano ceramic coating Guys, has anyone heard of this product? For some reason, my son felt compelled to buy it with his hard-earned $$. Appears to be straight out of China. He spent pretty much the entire day on his "new" car yesterday polishing and I got home just in time to...

New to me surface: Coating? Do nothing?

Guys, we picked up this leftover 2016 KTM this past weekend. The gas tank (cover) is plastic and done in a satin black finish which I think is going to show everything. I don`t know if I should leave it alone or try to protect it/coat it? I don`t want to alter the appearance, I don`t want to...

Old school: American Shine CA Clear Coat on single stage paint

I spent a bit of time freshening the single stage paint on my BMW bike this weekend. Somebody sent me a bottle of this American Shine California Clear Coat product about 12 years ago to sample. It seems like a glaze but I'm not really sure about that. The information on the bottle is very...

Ultima Paint Guard Wash shampoo JEFFS Werkstat

Having mentally transitioned to coatings and their related products, I'm gradually getting rid of all my "traditional" products. This Ultima shampoo is about 35% - 40% full: JEFFS Werkstat needs no introductions: Black, horizontal marker indicates fill level: I guess I'm looking for...

Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating

Thanks to Ronkh for inspiring me to try the Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Coating. It’s the fifth coating I’ve purchased and his review intrigued me. I wanted to get it on a couple of panels on my coating test bed, our ’06 A6 Audi wagon. I’ve already got some panels done with Duragloss’s...

    Shop Vac pre-filter: Outerwears

I've been looking for a pre-filter for a while for my Shop Vac.  As the washable Gore-tex filter ages, it seems like it's plugging up more frequently.  I've washed it a fair number of times  - - perhaps that's partially responsible for its diminished performance.    I stumbled upon these...

Duragloss Enviroshield coating + Squeaky Clean discussion

Guys, I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been more excitement and discusssion around this newcomer.  I ordered the package plus an extra bottle of Squeaky Clean earlier this week.  It arrived today.  I might attack one of the cars tomorrow and see how it works.  I'm a bit concerned about it being...

Engine detailer spray comparo: CD-2 vs. GUNK Engine Protector Shine

There had been some discussion over the past week about CD-2 engine compartment detailer. AFAIK, that company's assets were purchased by Turtle Wax and the products no longer exist. I've got a couple cans of the stuff and use it maybe once or twice during the course of the year. I'm not a huge...
