    Real Basic Problem

Every time I use interior dressing...let's say Armor All...on the dash, it looks fine when I apply it, but over time (couple minutes) it looks blotchy! Some spots are shiney, others are dull. I try to go over it again thinking it is just uneven but it still comes out looking like crap (to me)...

    Matte or Glossy

I cleaned a car this weekend (it was a mess...sorry no photos to prove it...just trust me), I cleaned the interior with toothpicks, q-tips, and "armor-all." The owner told me today that I never did the inside because he could not see the shine. I did it lightly so as to NOT produce a shine...

I need to calculate prices for mobile detailing. I know it needs to contain the usual: supply cost, overhead, insurance, vehicle needs, repayment on trailer loan, etc. I basically need to know how long the following jobs should take, time wise based on being a beginner, on a medium sized sedan...

    Riddle me this Batman!!

Are the same proceedures performed to BMW's, Porsche's, Corvettes (highend cars) that would be used on lower end cars? If not, how do I learn how to do different paint techniques besides the costly "trial and error" Is that a clear question? If not let me know, I will try to word it better.

    Detailing magazines and publications

Are there any magazines or other publications that anyone could recommend reading or subscribing to? I don't want ad type stuff saying.."our products are the best..."etc., I mean like real magazines for the professional detailer.

    What do you think????

I am looking at possible names for my "to be announced" business. 1. TRANSdetail - "transportation Detail" for all your transportation needs" 2. Jersey Devil Detailing - "Keeping New Jersey Clean, one vehicle at a time" Any other suggestions?

    New Jersey Residents?

Are there any New Jersey Residents out there? I would love to meet with someone to see and perhaps learn first hand from someone in the biz.

    Engine Cleaning

Is engine cleaning a scary job? With all the electronic components located under the hood of "newer" cars, I would be afraid to ruin something. Is it a long, time-consuming job? Is it requested often from any of your customers? Little help please.
