    Etching Reappearing After Full Detail

Hi Everybody! It`s been a long time since I`ve been active here, I`m glad to see some familiar names still posting here! I still keep up with the new products and techniques that have evolved over the years, but haven`t been much into detailing since life has thrown many things my way. I...

My Sonus Leather and Cockpit Care Review

I received my Sonüs leather and cockpit kit earlier this week and got around to trying it out on my car on Wednesday. Sonüs Leather Cleaner: I was really pleased with this product. It has a citrusy soap smell (no, itâ€â„¢s not like that lemon dishwashing liquid) that I...

My latest detail: 1999 Corolla SSR2.5 + EX

I've been neglecting the other cars since I got my own car, so I thought it was about time to give the Corolla some attention. The last time I washed it was about 3 months ago. Exterior got: - P21S wash, APC+ in wheel wells and undercarriage - Claymagic - SSR2.5 with a yellow cutting pad...

    My Detailed 4Runner - 56k warning!

I'm off for the summer, and what better way to spend a week than detailing my car? First off was the Interior. 1:10 dilution APC+ on mats got them pretty clean. I used 1Z Cockpit Premium and Tiefenpfleger on the interior trim pieces. Leather got Leatherique RO and PC followed by Zaino Z10...

    Hydrophobic Glass

Has anybody tried polishing glass with a hydrophobic coating from the factory? My 4Runner came with them and I want to polish my glass, but I'm afraid an abrasive polish might take the coating off. I'm thinking about a chemical polish (PB's PP or AIO) but I'm wondering if those might affect...

    It took a week...LONG!!!

I finally had time to detail my 4Runner last week. I bought it in September and only had the time to wash a few times. I didn't plan it to take a whole week, but that's what happened. I started out by washing it with Z7 and clayed with a 3M blue clay bar. I polished the driver's...

    Happy Birthday

4 years ago, on this very day, we brought home our new Corolla. To celebrate this occasion, I thought I'd give it a nice wash and put on another coat of Zaino. Here are the results: http://www.autopia.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2658&papass=&sort=1...

    Alumnium Wheels

I have just a quick question. I bought a Viking Brake Dust Brush for my wheels, but on the back it says "Not for use on clear-coated mag wheels." The wheels on my Accord are clear-coated aluminum. But i was just wondering if I'm not supposed to use the brush on a clear-coated rim of one type...

    Purple Applicator

I bought some purple cotton terry applicators the other day. They pass the CD and burn test, but I'm hesitant about using them on my paint because they're purple. Are they safe for the paint or should I just use them somewhere else? They were pretty cheap compared to the Zaino ones, so I...

    Cleaning my Engine

I've been meaning to clean my engine up for a long time now (3 years). But, I'm not really sure what to cover exactly. I've been getting conflicting answers about where to cover up. :( Here are two links of what my engine looks like (mine's not as clean). This is exactly what it looks...

    Another PC Concern

Does anybody have any tips on using the PC around emblems and pinstripping? I remember reading that the PC took off pinstripping not too long ago. Thanks.

    Bumper

I've done a search on this but can't find anything specific. Is it okay to use the PC with SMR or FI-2 on my bumpers? They're swirled like the rest of the car and I'm not sure how the paint on a plastic bumper would react. Thanks

    PC Question

Hi guys, I just bought a PC 7336SP from Lowes. What's the washer like thing that came in the packet with the instructions? It's about half an inch in diameter. Thanks.

Here are some pictures I took a few months back. Sorry for the bad quality, my scanner is really bad at scanning pictures.

    Wheel Covers

I've been following the boards for a while now and i've gotten some great tips from you guys. I have some questions I hope someone can answer. Those of you with hubcaps (wheel covers), how do you keep them looking new? Thanks.
