    A windshield coating for microchips?

Might there be something out there, that helps with the microchips a windshield in Colorado is subject to? All my vehicles that get driven a lot in this state, before long, have a ton of microchips from the sand and dust. So when the sun hits the windshield right, it becomes very difficult to...

    Odd redirect

I frequently get redirected when attempting to get to the Autopia site. Both in my phone through Sprint, and my home computer through Comcast. Usually some form of this or similar: http://filestore72.info/download.php?id=dbdebaad Edit: it just occurred to me that chrome us the common...

DA foam pads: My GG6 is eating them

At least the ones I've been using, which are HF ones. The problem lies in where the velcro backing ends on the pad. Since the velcro doesn't mate to the entire surface of the backing plate, the exposed foam to the backing plate is getting chewed up, and thrown over the vehicle. Is this a...

My Maserati does not do 185

Nor is it mine. But I am cleaning up a '67 Quattro-Porte. It has been repainted, and not that fantastically either. The owner repainted it before, and is currently working on getting it running(which is why it's up on stands). The entire car was covered in overspray from being in the shop...

My practice vehicle: 1987 Subaru Brat

I got my GG6 the other day. And now I'm looking to go practicing with it. I happen to have a vehicle that could stand some work. My Brat hasn't seen anything other than a wash in a very long time. Previous owner sure wasn't taking care of the paint, and I haven't done anything yet either...

The newest car I've done yet

10k miles BMW that a friend owns. I used the Klasse twins on it. I think I need to get a canopy to wash under though, this Denver sun gets the car brutally hot in a very short amount of time. And while I can do everything else inside, the washing needs to be done outside where I do this at.

Let's say you have $200 to spend on Amazon...

What do you buy? Thinking more along the lines of tools than products. A DA? An electric pressure washer? A cordless drill? I recently opened a FirstBank account, and the gift for using the billpay service was a Kindle Fire HD, a bunch of different iPods, a $100 Visa prepaid card... or a...

I have forgotten the difference in my MF towels...

I bought these towels years ago. And having gone through a hiatus in care car for a bit, I have since forgotten the difference between them. I have a bunch of low quality MFs(that are general duty where I don't care about, like plastic trim), and then I have a set of Sonus towels. 2 blue...

    Worth the repair?

I bought a Bissell Little Green several years ago. Partly because I wanted to be able to clean out my car better, but mostly because I have a dog. The hose is now starting to come apart on it. I can't buy the part, I have to take it to an authorized Bissell repair facility, at the cost of...

    New Post options?

This forum seems to mark unread new posts as read rather quickly, without me having read them at all. Is there an option where I can change this? Or is it just the way it is?

    Side business?

I am currently a (returning) college student. I live on the GI bill, and am currently unemployed. I would, however, like to start getting some more money to help pay for things. I've been tossing around the idea of doing some details, after I play with my car a bit more and get my practice...

    My '98 Subaru Legacy

I've pretty much settled on the fact that the car really needs a new paint job. I've owned this car since 2003, when it had 98k miles. It now has 218k miles, but it isn't going away anytime soon. When the wheels fall off, I'll get some used parts and put them back on. But that in mind, I...
