    Dry HD Poxy

I use many LSPs, so it has been a while since I've used my year old HD Poxy. Although the cap was on tight, it has thickened so it is no longer liquid. I shook it a lot, but clearly the has been some evaporation and it is now a thick mush. What can I use to thin this a bit? Distilled water, Q...

I couldn't believe this deal for 5 1/4' pads. Even I can afford this so I sprung. Not quite sure what to use them for. 10 pack of 5 1/4" velcro waffle polishing pads :eBay Motors (item 160361598072 end time Sep-13-09 08:11:27 PDT)

Water drips down the side of my Black Jeep

Not sure if this is the best area of the forum to ask this... but I have a BLACK 2008 Jeep Wrangler and it has a built in design flaw regarding retained water after washing. The rear view mirrors must store at least a pint of water and continues to drip down the side of the Jeep after washing...

    My Porter Cable 7424?

Got my PC 7424 out the other day and as I was screwing the handle in on the left side... I found that it wouldn't tighten. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I can still use it, by installing the handle on the right side, just wanted to post this before taking it apart.

    Foam pad crumbs

I've used my 6&1/2" pads with my rotory, and my PC. One white LC pad is starting to leave little crumbs of foam on the surface as I polish. My new Cobra white cross groove pad has started to leave foam bits the first time I used it as well. Are these bits of foam a sign the pad is warn? Can it...

    Made some foam tools

I bought a bunch of Rain Dance applicators from eBay. I saw some of the pricey swabs on the detailing sites, so I decided to get creative. First I cut the foam into pieces. Then I cut a small channel with pointy scissors. I used a handle from those cheap foam paint brushes, and moved on to...

    Race Deck floor

This is my first attempt at posting pictures. They lost a lot of resolution because every time I tried, it said my picture was too big. Is there any way to post a better picture? Jerry

    Dealer installed scratches

I took my black 2000 Jetta to the dealer for some recall work. When I picked it up[dusk] I walked around the car to check for any damage. When I put it in my garage, I noticed two nasty scratches running along the hood. Yes, I kicked myself for not noticing at the dealer. I've used a PC for two...

New PC; NXT followed by SG?

I just finished fooling around with the new PC I got from Detailer's Paradise. I wonder what all those spaces in the PC case are for.Pads won't fit. Anyway, since NXT has some cleaning properties, what do you think of the idea of trying it with a white pad, followed by Klasse SG [PC or hand?]...

    Dupont Sontara wipes

I've seen a few posts about what a great job this product does for removing wax. I had to buy a box of 275 ! Anyone try to use this cloth to apply products? It seems that if it is soft enough not to mar paint, it might be good for those moments when I want to wax a small area without messing up...

    Worn out MF ?

I have had a MT [yes the real thing] for about a year. I've been using one in the bathroom to clean mirrors, sink, etc. When I opened my Neatitems towel, I noticed how it clings to my detailers rough hands. When I compared to my old MT,The MT has lost this grabby feel. Does this impare...

    BFWD over EXP

I sprung for the Griots $70.00 car wash brush. It works best with light dirt. A mitt seems to work better when the car is very dirty. A few hairs come off at every washing. Anyone else have experience with this?
