Hey guys,
I haven't been on here in months... and i need some advice. im going to be detailing again this summer to make some cash, and i need to update my product list. i ran out of some stuff and this is what iml eft with.
what should i replace? whats better for the price? whats got...
im using #2 with compound pad then #9 with polishing pad and then #3 with same pad, then #26 by hand. still swirls! should i do 2 applications of 2 or 9? or even 3?? heeeeeeeeeeelp
could it be my pads? how do i clean them suuuper well?
i was doing a 2004 carrera turbo today, WOW. not too dirty, just pretty swirled. i used #2 at around 1200 rpm with a Farecla compound foam on the rough spots and scratches and then over everything with #3 at around 1500 rpm with farecla polishing pad. hand buff off, wax with #26 and voila...
from start to finish
meg's clay+ #34
Meg's #2
meg's #3
AG EGP
meg's #26
opinions/suggestions??
EDIT!!!!!!!^^^ sry guys mixed em up haha.
im going for mostly look, but i hope the EGP can hold up the durability aspect.
so how can i know if its removable before i go at it with some compounding??? i was doing some testing today with a farecla compund pad and meg's fine cut cleaner, i dont know if i cut enough to remove some deep scratches. also anotther quick one, is hte machine glaze made mostly to fill in...
today, i heard from this guy that you cant use a pc on black cars and apparently it leaves swirl marks for sure, and i have to get 3M black polish for black and red just by hand or some crap... :shocked
anyone heard of this stuff? and they are the only ones who make it?
hey everyone, here i am again with a couple questions:
1) where can i find a document or a dif thread that discusses pricing?
2)how much should i charge for a clay, polish, glaze, sealant? and maybe some minor interior work.
:2thumbs: thanx guys!

hey everyone,
