Started my very first detail yesterday.... I can't do more than 2-3 sections before my pad starts slinging flakes (that IS when I'm supposed to take the pad off and clean it, right?). So I cleaned the pad thoroughly, set it out in the sun and it was dry in a couple of hours for my next...

There are areas on my car with visible clearcoat scuffs and marks, but they're in places like inside door handles where a polishing pad won't reach. I guess I have to apply and remove product by hand, right? What should I use and how do I use it?

I can understand an initial IPA wipedown to remove old wax, and after polishing sessions, but I've read posts of detailers doing a wipedown AFTER applying a layer of glaze. I hope this isn't a stupid question for my first post in this forum, but I'd like to know..... If an IPA wipedown...
