#16 vs Natty's Blue: A comparison by Mr. Sparkle (56k beware)

Here we have two products that I will be testing in the coming days, weeks and maybe months for beading consistency, reflectivity and durability. I am just a slightly above average person who wants to take care of his new car the best way he can. Although not scientific by any means, what...

Rust spot on new car? Please help!

So I got this spot on my hood. Looks like rust and I can barely feel it with my fingernail. It kinda looks like a mole, a dark spot with a ring of lighter 'stuff' expanding up and to the right of it. Claying didn't seem to help much if any. Sorry about the bigger pic but I wanted to give you...

    Protecting the interior

I have a black interior (shouldn't make a difference just an FYI) and is Scotchguard still the way to go to protect the seats and carpets? What are some other opitions besides no eating or drinking in the car? Thanks in advance, Mr. Sparkle

    Quick FK425 question

Thinking of using it after washing for a little wax touch up. Make my car shine again without applying more wax. Can I use it like this or is it just a strict QD? Is there another FK product that will suit my needs better or use something different all together?

Need recommendations on a couple supplies

I need a good tire dressing applicator for truck tires. Something that can handle the rougher surface of the sidewalls on 4x4 tires. Maybe I'm just buying crappy ones but they all seem to get chewed up when I work on my dad's truck. And if anyone can chime in on this I would appreciate it...

    MF applicators getting dirty

So I've noticed a few times that my applicators are getting dirty when I am applying AIO, and sometimes with UPP, to my car. Do you think it's a washing technique problem or is it a claying technique problem? Or am I way off base and this is normal. :nixweiss

    removing AIO from glass

I put a couple of coats of AIO on the windshield of my wifes car. When it rains I love it, she hates it. Will simple glass cleaner take it off or 50/50 alcohol/water mix? Thanks

    Basic UPP and #16 questions

Using the AIO/UPP combo, can I top the UPP with Meg #16? Will it make a difference on dark blue metallic? Should I top UPP with anything? Should I skip the UPP and go with AIO/#16? I bought two cans of #16 this weekend. How long will that last me given 'regular' use of it? Is it so great...

    easy AIO topper

Just like the topic says. I'm looking for an easy AIO topper for my dad. I want to stay away from SG but I need something fool proof: easy on, easy off. I was thinking of 4*UPP. Am I on the right track? Any suggestions would be helpful. otra

    Detailing flat painted cars

Here's the situation... I'm one of those people that plan ahead. WAY ahead! A few years down the road when I finally get a new car, I'm looking into having it painted with a flat finish and a couple of 'SS' racing stripes down the top of the car in a normal paint finish. Black of course...

    Detailing business questions

So today I grabbed my phone book and looked up a couple of detailing shops in the area and I went and put in my application at a few of them. None of them were really hiring anybody, one shop need an experienced buffer but the others said that with spring coming they would be getting busier and...
