Spotted it at my local Walmart today (Markham). Price was $24.97 I seem to recall.

    Getting back into detailing...

In the past year I haven't had any time to spend on detailing ny car but I'm determined to keep it up this year. Just working my way through about a year's worth of posts... I have some products, about 3 years old, that I should probably replace due to age. Please help me find suitable...

    Good deal at CT

Found a great deal at Canadian Tire. Here's the link: Car Care Bucket Products are as in the picture, NOT the description. In-store the $5.99 price is not shown until you take it to the register. About 8 left on display at McCowan/14th Ave store. Obviously some of the contents...

Don't use the PC hook & loop plate...

Used this with an LC orange pad last week (brand new). The plate is not flexible and the edges are sharp so it cut right through the foam all the way around the velcro. I couldn't believe it when I went to remove the pad after using SSR 2.5. I was wondering where the orange coloured dust was...

UK peeps: what is available OTC?

I've been trying to educate my family (over the phone) on what to use to take care of their cars. They all live in London/Kent and I'm across the pond in Canada. I sent my dad a kit at Christmas consisting of: 1. A sheep's wool mitt to replace the sponge 2. 5 microfibres to replace the...

Not seeing expected results from PB's SSR

Today is a nice day so I thought I'd give the car a QEW wash and then try out my SSR 1 and 2.5 with the PC on my 2000 VW GTI (metallic orange). Paint is in good shape but lots of fine swirls. So I washed, taped off half the hood, clayed the passenger side and washed it again. 1. Set to...

    Removing labels from microfibre towels

Hi, I received my Big Blue II waffle weave drying towel yesterday. It has a label on it an I want to remove it but it seems to be stitched in pretty well. If I pull hard I'm concerned that the silk trim and towel will tear. If I cut it off will the remaining tag stub cause scratching? Thanks.

    Any opinions on this clay?

It's on the homepage of http://www.carcaresmart.com and looks to be a great price - that's Canadian dollars. There's not much choice around these parts for clay - Meguiars or Mothers are OK price, everything else is expensive.

    Drying windows

What technique do you use for drying windows? After I've washed my car, then roll the window down - normally at a drive through - the window then gets soaked again as it picks up the water from the rubber seal. Do you guys roll the window up and down multiple times to dry them off before...

    Cleaning snow from your car

What do you use? Up until now I had one of those snow brushes but now that I'm becoming more interested in keeping my car in top shape I figure that it can't be the best thing for the paint. Any suggestions? PS - I'm talking about 6-12 inches of snow on the car, not just a light dusting.

    Where do you wax/seal?

I'm planning on detailing my 2000 VW GTI soon and I was wondering how important it is to seal or wax the paint that is on the interior of the vehicle, e.g. door sills, inside of trunk, under the hood etc. For example, I imagine that when most people wax their hood they stop where it meets...
