Here is the longest detail I have ever performed. This owner is the same as the 996 I just did recently. This car was definitely not taken care of by his previous "detailer" and on top of that had one of the hardest clearcoats I have ever had to work with (definitely Audi-esque). It took well...
Salutations everyone!
Here is a 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo Cab I worked on this weekend. This car is driven, and as a result had a considerable amount of swirls and contamination for a traditional "weekend" car. Enjoy the show!
Total Time: 12.5 hours (straight through)
Wash:
Karcher...
Here is a Jet Black 997 C4S I worked on yesterday. The car had been detailed previously but was left with a considerable amount of defects. The front driver fender had sanding marks (from the factory I assume) that were not addressed, as well a fairly large scratch on the rear bumper.
You...
Hey guys,
I have an absolutely insane neighbor. She hates our family for some reason (of which I don't know) and bitches about everything concerning us. Mind you she has lived in her house for less than two years and us for 18. Here's what is relevant to this thread:
She spoke to the...
This was my project from Monday. The customer purchased the car used and was looking to have it brought back to "new" standards. It was apparent that this car had never been garaged, and was in fact severely neglected. Both the front and rear bumpers had severe oxidation, and the beginnings of...
What more to say than the sickest BMW I know. A great friend and my most loyal client .This car has seen OCK many a time, but this detail was particularly special for me. I went all out on it.
Total time: 12 hours
Wash:
Karcher pressure washer
Camspray foam cannon
Chemical Guys...
I have some 1200 grit laying around and was wondering if that grit would be fine enough for my headlights. I would probably follow up with M105/PFW...would the 105 take out the 1200 grit marks effectively? Thanks.
So my Flex officially ceased working today. I was buffing a panel, and when I finished I released the handle but it kept spinning (an issue I've had lately). When I went to go use it again, nothing. I assume this is switch related, and hope someone else has experienced this...
:sadpace:
It seems we do not have a thread on this yet, so let's get some feedback from everyone using it!
I personally love it on filthy exhaust tips. I spray 1:5 and let it dwell for a few minutes and pressure wash. They always come out sparkling! :hifive:
The owner called me saying she was looking to have her car "detailed." When I consulted her about buffing and the need to remove swirl marks, she replied, "Can't wax take care of that?"
Unfortunately I was unable to do a correction on this car as she felt that she was not a "connoisseur" who...
The car was not fully corrected, but the black roof did have some swirling which was removed. The products used were the following:
Wash:
Karcher pressure washer
Camspray foam cannon
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss
P21S wheel gel
Swissvax wheel and detail brushes
Home Depot grout...
A total of around 9 hours went into the vehicle, and here is my little write-up of what was done.
First, the car needed to be properly washed. This was done via a Karcher electric pressure washer and a foam cannon with Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II soap.
As the foam was...
Sorry, didn't take any of these pictures. I am just copying the OP's post on my local Mercedes board. This car had an incredible amount of overspray! Everywhere including windows, wheels, etc. I used an entire bar on the body and had to resort to Sonus gray for the windows! It was a pain...
Here is one of the worst exterior jobs I have ever been handed...ever. The owner was looking to sell the car and wanted it looking "respectable." This car would require me using some heavy compounding, which is exactly what I did. Here is a list off all products used:
Wash/Etc.:
